The CW’s holiday gifts to its viewers were 3 trailers for two of its most popular shows, Arrow and The Flash, and one for the most anticipated new show of the year, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airing January 21st. This Arrow trailer is of course, darker than the others (although The Flash may be able to start giving Arrow a little run for its money), and focuses on Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) need to stop Damian Darhk (Neal McDonough).

Oliver is bent on “revenge” in this trailer, and we see more bromance between him and Diggle (David Ramsey) who has “his back.” The Anarky symbol as well as a guy with a melted face (that I assume is him) are flashed, so Thea (Willa Holland) probably should watch out.

The trailer does make it seem like Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is in that grave, which does make sense since Barry (Grant Gustin) visited it too in the season premiere. While I do not want Felicity to die, I do want the show to commit to whatever death happens. Arrow used to shock us with big deaths like Tommy and Moira Queen (Colin Donnell and Susanna Thompson) – major characters that stayed dead. Then people whom we thought were dead or were actually dead, came back like Roy and Sara (Colton Haynes and Caity Lotz). With The Lazarus Pit non-functional, that shouldn’t happen, but who knows?

Also quite interesting is that it seems as if Darhk’s wife, whom we saw at the end of the fall finale in a picturesque setting, is totally in on Darhk’s agenda, whatever that may really be.

Whatever the case, the second half of this season should prove to be a super exciting one.
