Spoilers for Scream Queens

Sorry this is late, but Tuesday night was Amy Schumer at Madison Square Garden in NYC… but here’s what’s happening on Scream Queens. My poor sweet Chad Radwell (Glen Powell) is dead. I have not, and will not recover. His body fell Suspiria-style through the stained glass ceiling at his supposed wedding to Chanel (Emma Roberts). The CURE Institute has been shockingly successful at finding cures for bizarre ailments, while at the same time being horrible at keeping its patients alive post-cure. The Green Meanie continues to wreak have on the hospital now run by Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis). Thirty years ago on Halloween night, a patient was ignored and died thanks to the staff who then dumped his body in the swamp. Now, in order to try to lure the killer out, the current gang are having their own hospital Halloween party.

Things just keep going wrong for Chanel. First the love of her life dies, then she wakes up Smurf blue after taking some strong medication. And if that wasn’t bad enough, a Ouija seance (perhaps a nod to Ouija: Origin of Evil) reveals that Chad was way more in love with Denise (Niecy Nash). We get the words from Chad Radwell himself as he “Patrick Swayzes her” like in Ghost. We all see a hilarious flashback to an American Beauty-style romantic interlude with Chad and Denise.

The hospital Halloween party is trudging along, although the appearance of a knife-wielding Hester (Lea Michele) dressed as Ivanka Trump spoils Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin)’s idea. Soon the institute is overrun with sick vomitous party goers, made ill during a game of bobbing for apples. Dr. Brock Holt (John Stamos) is convinced the apples were poisoned, but Zayday (Keke Palmer) thinks the water was tampered with. The Green Meanie switched the water to get everyone sick, but no one died”¦ why would he or she waste time not-killing people? Oh, it’s a diversion.

Chanel #5 is running around gathering supplies in the deep dark section in the hospital. Hester (Ivanka) sneaks up on her, but begs off as the Green Meanie surprises Chanel with a blade to the back. Poor #5″¦ that girl just couldn’t catch have any happiness. Denise finds her on the floor still alive, but barely but the trap is sprung for her and the Meanie uses a crash cart to shock her to death. Well at least Denise and Chad will be lovers in Heaven. He plays golf with Jesus up there, you know.

Scream Queens won’t be back until Tuesday, November 1st due to the MLB playoffs on FOX, so they sent you off to the break with back-to-back episodes killing off main characters. First my poor Chad, and then Denise. I will miss her constant reminders of Quantico, both the FBI center and TV show. Will Chanel #5 survive? Will Chanel ever stop being blue? One thing is for sure, we need more Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd).
