Justice League

Featurettes are a nice piece of marketing material that goes behind the scenes of your favorite films. And for Justice League, we are getting a look at the newest superhero ensemble and the person that helped bring them all together.

In what will probably the first of many, this featurette takes a look at the dynamics between members of the team, their motivation, history, and more. While there is not a whole lot of new footage to look at, it’s great to see that the cast has some chemistry with each other. Because they’ll need that with all the mixed reactions the trailers have been getting. Check out the latest Justice League featurette below.

For Ben Affleck, we see why Batman is actively searching for metahumans who can help him bring down the impending danger that threatens earth. As Gal Gadot says, this is the first time that Wonder Woman works on a team “to make the world a better place.” Ray Fisher explains how Cyborg is the hero who found the balance of man and machine. Which mirrors Aquaman’s situation as Jason Momoa says his character comes from two worlds: he is human and he is Atlantean. Finally, the Ezra Miller says he is just having too much fun.

While previous trailers have put a huge emphasis on the action, the featurette puts its focus on the team dynamic. But even then there’s not a whole lot of that going on given the short runtime. We only get to hear a little bit of them joke with each other in a roundtable. So I assume we will be seeing a lot more things like this as we get closer to the release date. And of course, to keep things in suspense, Henry Cavill is noticeably absent, and will most likely be in other featurettes. At least until we can confirm that he is in the film – I mean come on, his S emblem is on almost all the posters.

Here’s the synopsis for Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes “” Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash “” it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will open in theaters on November 17, 2017.
