Xbox’s Free Games With Gold Lineup For January 2018
One of the very best decisions that console makers Microsoft and Sony have made, is to offer free games to those who are members of their Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus programs each month. Hundreds of dollars worth of games for free each year. It makes the pill that is having to pay to play (online) much, much easier to swallow.
The four free games being offered to Xbox Live Gold members for Games With Gold in January 2018 have been revealed, and you can see what they are below along with information on each of the four titles.

Watch: Yule Log Video Transforms Into Horror Movie
|
Many of us have thrown a yule log video up on the TV or computer during the holiday season—especially those who don’t have a fireplace at their disposal. Usually the video is just a few logs crackling away. Sometimes they may include music. And every once in a while, they come with a slight twist such as being set in various Marvel superheroes’ homes or including Parks and Recreation‘s Ron Swanson, Nick Offerman, quietly sipping whisky by the fire.
But this year, one yule log video takes things to very strange and unexpected places. The Hawkins Family Yule Log video begins simply, with a shot of the living room and Christmas tree and decorations before zooming in on the logs ablaze. The logs crackle and pop like any other yule log video for a good half hour or so. But eventually things begin happening around the fireplace that transform the basic holiday season video into a little horror movie of sorts.

‘Overboard’ Trailer: Anna Faris Uses Amnesia To Teach Eugenio Derbez A Lesson In Humality

I never saw the original Overboard, but the romantic comedy centered on a wife named Joanna (Goldie Hawn) suffering from a case of amnesia after falling off her husband’s (Edward Herrmann) yacht. Using this as an opportunity to escape the bonds of marriage, the husband leaves his wife. but Dean (Kurt Russell), a widowed carpenter with four kids who once worked for Joanna, arrives and claims she’s his wife. So she ends up putting the rich life she once knew behind to live a blue collar life.
All the fun and cheesy tropes of learning how to work a regular job fall into play and there are the occasional romantic gestures. So when it was announced that there would be a gender-twist remake starring Anna Faris as the one who takes advantage of a rich playboy’s (Eugenio Derbez) amnesia, you can probably expect more of the same conceits. Check out the full trailer below.
