Marvel Studios ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

We are just mere weeks away from the release of the highly anticipated Ant-Man and The Wasp. We will be releasing some posts from the press junket in the next few weeks leading up to the film’s release. But in the meantime, we’ve got some featurettes for your viewing pleasure. The first takes a look at the two title heroes that make up Ant-Man and The Wasp. The second focuses on Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp, played by Evangeline Lilly. Check both featurettes out here below.

The Wasp featurette takes a look at The Wasp and her cinematic headline debut. Her character appearance also marks the first time that all of the Avengers from the first issue of the title comic have appeared on the big screen. Of course, we saw the original Wasp in the first Ant-Man making a brief appearance. Now she’s ready for the MCU and possibly her own film. “She gets to wear this suit that she’s been coveting her whole life and she so desperately wanted to follow in the footsteps of her parents who had been incredible superheroes in their day and she’s finally doing that,” Lilly said. The Wasp actress even “dares you to blink.”

Indeed, if you blink, you might miss a very important scene. According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Ant-Man And The Wasp connects directly to Avengers: 4.

The second featurette takes a look at all the kinetic action that makes up Ant-Man and The Wasp. It shows how Scott Lang (Paul Rudd)’s Ant-Man suit works in tandem with the Wasp’s suit. Considering that the first Ant-Man and The Wasp came as a pair, it only makes sense that we get to see another two take on being heroes to prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant Man and The Wasp,” a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man And The Wasp opens in theaters on July 6, 2018.
