Amazon Prime Video

Amazon has announced the full lineup of movies and television shows set to arrive on Prime Video in the new month.

This includes a few highlighted titles coming to the streaming service as well as a little bit about them, followed by the rest of the incoming movies and TV shows and the date they’ll be added to Prime Video.

All of the Amazon Arrivals for February 2019 can be found below.

February might be the shortest month, but rest assured there is no shortage of excellent new offerings on Prime Video. Four new Prime Original series, five recent films and the sci-fi classic The Matrix make our Top 10 for the month.

1) Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders (Prime Original) — February 1

John Malkovich stars as Christie’s beloved detective Hercule Poirot in this three-part Prime Original miniseries. Poirot is taunted by a serial killer whose murders follow the alphabet.

2) Generation Wealth (Prime Original) — February 1

Acclaimed documentarian Lauren Greenfield turns her cameras toward modern consumer culture. Part autobiography, part social commentary, Generation Wealth examines the extremes of consumerism.

3) White Dragon (Prime Original) — February 8

A British professor travels to Hong Kong after his wife is killed there in a car crash. He soon learns that her death was no accident and that she was leading a double life. As the professor digs for the truth, he is drawn into a dangerous web of conspiracy.

4) Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot (Prime Original) — February 8

Joaquin Phoenix stars as the late cartoonist John Callahan, who overcame a debilitating accident at 21 to become a popular and controversial artist. Gus Van Sant directed the Prime Original film, which also stars Rooney Mara and Jonah Hill.

5) Lorena (Prime Original) — February 15

In 1993, the notorious case of John and Lorena Bobbitt made international headlines and helped birth a 24-hour news cycle. 25 years later, this four-part Prime Original documentary series from Executive Producer Jordan Peele re-examines the scandal and explores the missed opportunity for a national discussion about domestic violence and sexual assault that was lost in the tabloid coverage.

6) This Giant Beast That is the Global Economy (Prime Original) — February 22

The Big Short director Adam McKay helms this eight-part Prime Original series that mixes journalism and humor to investigate different parts of the world economy. Kal Penn hosts.

7) Papillon — February 1

Henri Charrière probably invented the “true story” of his escape from Devil’s Island in 1941, but real or not, it makes for a great film. The second big-screen version stars Charlie Hunnam as Charrière and Rami Malek as Louis Dega, Charrière’s partner in the harrowing escape.

8) What They Had — February 7

A moving family drama from first-time director Elizabeth Chomko. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank plays a woman who answers a plea from her brother (Michael Shannon) to help him care for their parents (Robert Forster and Blythe Danner.)

9) Death Wish — February 23

Bruce Willis steps into the role made famous by Charles Bronson in this remake of the classic revenge film. Willis plays a doctor who becomes a vigilante after violence strikes his family. Eli Roth directs.

10) The Matrix — February 1

Like Star Wars, Blade Runner and a handful of other movies, The Matrix is one of the milestones that mark the progress of science fiction filmmaking. Keanu Reeves plays the reluctant hero, Neo. He is helped along by Laurence Fishburne and Carrie Ann Moss.
