“Even there is a small chance, we owe this to everyone who is not in this room, to try,” says Black Widow in the new trailer for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. “Whatever it takes,” adds Captain America. Sure enough, The Avengers, or what’s left of them, are going to be damn sure they will avenge.
The film takes place after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and sees a brand new team rallying together after the devastating loss they suffered. They will do whatever it takes. Even if that means the original founders, a few galactic a-holes, a demigod, a marvelous captain, an elite guardswoman, and a tiny Ant-Man teaming up and possibly sacrificing their own lives. Whatever it takes. Check out the latest trailer below.
A lot of these trailers have been leaning towards the defeated Avengers coping with the fact that they could not save the day. Sure, they’ve suffered losses before and seen comrades die, but nothing quite like this. Now it looks like they will have to dust themselves off and try again as Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner aka Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and James Rhodes aka War Machine (Don Cheadle), Clint Barton aka Ant-Man (Jeremy Renner), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Nebula (Karen Gillan), Rocket Raccoon (voice of Bradley Cooper), and, last, but not least, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) team up, and have matching new suits, to take the fight to Thanos (Josh Brolin), himself.
It goes without saying that this is Marvel Studios’ biggest film. And just like before, we can expect to see even more losses. Especially when the trailer has the dark and somber flashbacks of the founding members.
But there is also some new footage as well. Scott roaming around his empty neighborhood, Clint watching over her daughter shoot arrows, Clint also outrunning an inferno in a tunnel, Rocket on War Machine’s shoulder, an angry Nebula charging at an unseen enemy, Cap strapping his trusty shield on possibly for the last time, Ant-Man jumping over pencils – yeah, I want to know why as well – and one last heroic shot of our heroes, with some new suits, going on what could be their last mission.
