Bethesda Softworks has released an official story trailer for Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The latest game in the series offers those who acquire it the option of experiencing the game with someone else via co-op.

The game jumps developer MachineGames’ rebooted series into the 1980s. In it, series protagonist William “B.J.” Blazkowicz has gone missing after a mission to Nazi-occupied Paris. This leaves his twin daughters, Jess and Soph Blazkowicz, to set off on a quest to find old Terror Billy.

PARIS, 1980:

B.J. Blazkowicz, hero of the second American Revolution, is missing. Nineteen years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, BJ has disappeared after a mission into Nazi-occupied Paris. Now, after years of training and guidance from their battle-hardened father, BJ’s twin daughters Jess and Soph are forced into action. Team up with a new cast of freedom fighters and brave the unsettling sights and sounds of twisted, alternate reality 1980s Paris.

Team up with a friend or play alone with an AI companion in the first modern co-op Wolfenstein adventure. Perform new tag team maneuvers, crank up the voltage with the devastatingly powerful new co-op weapon, the Tesla Gun, and show off your flair with skins and emotes.

The wonder years, these are not. Featuring harrowing takes on iconic Parisian landmarks to graffiti-tagged streets, leather-clad Nazis, and an all-new soundtrack inspired by the synth heavy tones of classic ’80s action films.

LOCK AND LOAD:

Wield the latest advancements in power armor tech, weaponry, and armor to stamp out Nazi scum. Level up, explore, and complete missions to unlock new abilities, weapon attachments, gadgets, cosmetics, and more to complement your playstyle.

In addition to the new story trailer, you can also find the teaser trailer from E3 2018 that was released to announce the game if you haven’t yet seen it.

The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC and can be pre-ordered now. As you’ll see it starts at just $30, so this is more of a standalone Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus add-on or perhaps just a short in-between installment before the next main game is made…if there are plans to make another game, of course.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set to be released on July 26th.
