Rey (Daisy Ridley) in Star Wars: Episode IX

There is an immense amount of anticipation when it comes to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The film is the last entry in the Skywalker saga and brings to a close to a nine-chapter story arc that first started back in 1977. While we may be bidding one final farewell to these characters, much of the story remains a mystery.

We only got a small tease of what’s to come a few weeks back at Star Wars Celebration, where we saw the first teaser for the upcoming film. Of course, fans were excited to hear the Luke Skywalker voice over, that Lando Calrissian laugh, and a very tearful Rey embracing General Leia. But the one thing that got fans riled up was the Emperor’s laugh. The menacing character has been a dark and evil fixture since the original trilogy.

Now we are getting yet another look at the film. So to speak. It’s another behind the scenes look from Vanity Fair’s Annie Leibovitz, whose engaging photos provide an intimate look at the production of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Check out the new gallery, plus what some of the cast and crew had to say below.

Jaws Movie Poster

Few movie posters are as familiar or as terrifying as Roger Kastel‘s poster for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic JAWS, which features a large shark making its way straight up towards a swimmer.

A British cage diver and filmmaker named Euan Rannachan captured an incredible shot of a great white shark off the coast of Mexico, which is remarkably similar to the above mentioned JAWS poster. It shows a 17-foot great white making its way toward the surface, facing the camera with a toothy grin. Thankfully there were no oblivious swimmers above for the shark to target.

You can see both the image and the JAWS poster below for comparison.

Game of Thrones Episode 7.3 Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen

If you’ve ever been sitting on your couch watching Game of Thrones and thought to yourself “Gee, I sure wish I could visit Westeros,” well, I’m not quite sure why you would want to. People are murdered there, like all the time. It’s not safe at all. Nevertheless, you’re going to have the opportunity to do just that next year. As close as you can get to being able to visit a fictional location, anyway. And this visit will be much less dangerous.

HBO is teaming up with Linen Mill Studios—the studios used for filming many of the series’ memorable scenes—to create a studio tour experience which will transport fans to Westeros and also Essos. The studio tour will give fans the opportunity to walk onto actual sets for various locations from the show, as well as see authentic props and costumes.

You can find much more information and see some concept images below.

Shuri Avengers

We are just a month away from the release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, which is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War, our heroes are reeling after one of the biggest losses since they’ve teamed up. But as devastated as they are, they know they must “Avenge The Fallen,” a tagline that can be seen written all over the newly released character posters.

And now, Marvel Studios has released a featurette for the upcoming film that sees the cast talk about the state of mind of which their characters are in now. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

The art of movie poster design isn’t easy. Especially when one follows the theme of characters leaning against something, being back-to-back, floating heads, etc. And the harsh criticism only gets worse when the photoshop is obvious. Case in point, the first poster for Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The film, which is set for a July release, stars Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio as struggling actors living in 1969 Los Angeles at the height of the Manson murders. Check out the poster here below.

Disney Maleficent Angelina Jolie

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any news from Maleficent 2, the sequel to the very popular reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. Starring Angelina Jolie, the film pictured the title character as a protagonist who was wronged by a scheming king who took her wings away thereby taking her powers away. She would eventually get them back, and like most fairy tale endings, they all lived happily ever after.

But there was no way that a huge success like that wouldn’t be followed up with a sequel. And that’s what we are getting. The sequel has a brand new title and now will go by Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Not only that, but there is a new release date and a teaser poster. Check them all out below.
