Michael Madsen Revives Mr. Blonde Persona To Help With An Alamo Drafthouse PSA
I thoroughly enjoy the Alamo Drafthouse‘s PSAs. They are ballsy and hilarious. But they do address a very important point in a digital age. Don’t talk or text during a movie. Sounds simple enough, but there are those theater patrons continue to ignore this request and should you make the unfortunate decision to text or talk during the movie at the Alamo Drafthouse, the theater chain isn’t afraid of taking swift action. Unfortunately, there are competing theater chains that run these campy requests to cease texting and talking during the movie, and for the most part, they are ignored.
But this is why the Alamo Drafthouse has a huge following. Their strict no talking or texting policy allows patrons to enjoy the movie, without being bothered by fingers clicking to text or the huge ray of light being emitted by their cell phones. So to make sure that they are getting their point across, they create hilarious PSAs.
We’ve seen a couple of these PSAs in the past and judging by the huge following that the Drafthouse has, it works. Of course there are those who choose to ignore these requests, and if you don’t know what happens, well you should probably check out the video below.
