Mass Effect: Andromeda

A brand new cinematic trailer has been released for Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Unlike the cinematic reveal trailer released for N7 Day 2016, which only teased the new game’s villain, this new trailer actually introduces us to who we’ll be dealing with, a delightful being known as Archon.

You can read much more about Mass Effect: Andromeda and watch the new cinematic trailer below.

Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay Trailer

The only significant Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay we’ve seen was that 4K tech video shared during Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro unveiling event. So of course, the promise of new gameplay at The Game Awards 2016 was exciting enough to make watching the whole show worth it for fans.

BioWare has released a lengthy gameplay trailer, which runs almost five minutes long and can be seen below. It sets up the story briefly, and covers various things like vehicles, exploration, dialogue, resources, and of course, combat. Oh, and big scary creatures you’re probably going to want to travel around when exploring. Far, far around. You know what, maybe it’s better to go in an entirely different direction. That tree over there looks pretty!

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Last week a new video was released asking fans to join the Andromeda Initiative for the next game in the Mass Effect series, titled Mass Effect: Andromeda. Orientation for this new initiative began yesterday, November 7th, and as expected, N7 Day came with a lovely treat.

For anyone who wasn’t online yesterday or hasn’t seen it yet, a new cinematic reveal trailer for the game was released by BioWare. Though it is a cinematic trailer, some peeks at gameplay are also present. You can check the new trailer out below, and previous trailers and gameplay previews right here if you missed them.

Mass Effect Andromeda: Andromeda Initiative Video

BioWare has released a new video for the latest game in the Mass Effect series, titled Mass Effect: Andromeda. What exactly the video is about is not exactly clear yet. But it did give me goosebumps, so there’s that.

The video is looking for fans to sign up for something called the “Andromeda Initiative,” which sounds like it’s basically a mailing list for updates and such. Orientation for this initiative begins on November 7th, which just so happens to be N7 Day, a Mass Effect holiday for many. We’ll likely get more info then, and maybe even a new peek at the game if lucky.

Continue below to watch the new video.

Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay

As part of Sony’s event to unveil the new PS4 Pro, some games were also presented. This was mainly just to show off the 4K resolution of the PS4 Pro, but it was very much worth it for some.

One of the games presented was Mass Effect: Andromeda. But instead of the brief trailers and gameplay teases we’ve seen in the past, the first significant gameplay footage was shared. Not a whole lot happens in the three-minute video, but it is great to see the game in action, as well as one of the places you’ll visit and some of the characters you’ll be spending time with.

You can watch the first Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay video below.

Mass Effect Andromeda

We don’t have the first Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay demo, which many were hoping would come out of E3 2016—at least not yet.

What we do have is a new video previewing the game, which includes looks behind the scenes of the making of the game and new peeks at the game itself, including a few quick shots of real gameplay. Some of this gameplay shows the return of the fan-favorite Mako vehicle in speeding around different planets as well!

BioWare has shared an update on the status of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the fourth title in the hit third-person sci-fi action shooter series, which includes the announcement of a new release window for the much-anticipated game.

The update is brief, but covers how things are looking with the game, some things fans can expect to experience when they get their hands on it, and of course the new release window, which isn’t too far after the late 2016 release we were previously expecting.

You can read the full update from BioWare below.

BioWare's Shadow Realms

Last year a collection of mysterious videos were released teasing a brand new game from Mass Effect and Dragon Age creator BioWare. No one had a clue what they were for, but the viral marketing campaign was effective in getting gamers excited.

Unfortunately that excitement died quickly for many when the game was revealed as being a four versus one online co-op game titled Shadow Realms, in which you and three other players would team up to take on a powerful player-controlled enemy (or you alone would take on four others). As it turns out, interest in the game was apparently even lower than thought, as BioWare has announced that they’re actually canceling it entirely.

You can read BioWare’s full statement on the surprise announcement below.

You can check out what the Dragon Age: Inquisition character creation system looks like in the video below.
