Marvel Studios Film Festival

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Marvel Studios, which began with 2008’s Iron Man and has since become one of the premiere movie studios, building on its brand of superheroes. And now to commemorate all of that, Marvel Studios will release all 20 of their films in IMAX theaters. This Marvel Studios 10th Anniversary Film Festival will be only for a limited run, with the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe presented on certain days grouped by theme.

The event was announced via Marvel Entertainment’s official YouTube channel; watch that video and check out the screening dates and themes here below.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Rankings

Marvel will be releasing Thor: Ragnarok this coming weekend. It’s the 17th film they’ve released as a part of their ongoing successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not all of Marvel Studios’ films are built the same, but they are a part of the larger universe that they are building. Each one of them serving its purpose that is leading towards a much bigger picture. So with each and every new installment comes its praises and criticisms.

While it is easy to say that every new Marvel Studios film is better than the last, the truth is some are not. So let’s revisit our list by ranking all 17 Marvel Cinematic Universe films and seeing where Thor: Ragnarok places.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Rankings

Not all Marvel Cinematic Universe films are built the same, but they are all pieces of a larger puzzle. Each one of them serves some sort of purpose to tell its own story while also moving the universe towards a certain direction. So with each and every new installment comes new praises and criticisms.

While it is easy to say that every new Marvel Studios film is better than the last, the truth is, they are not. Some are better than others. With Spider-Man: Homecoming hitting theaters this weekend, I decided to rank all 16 MCU films that have been released, from worst to the best.

Top 10 Favorite Movies of 2016

Now that 2016 is behind us, it’s time for me to reveal my favorite Movies of 2016. On a global level, the year 2016 will go down in history as a difficult one, where we lost a lot of talented people and there seemed to be an overall negativity in the air (thanks in part to the general election here in the U.S). On a personal level, 2016 was not only difficult, but sorrowful, as I lost my father to cancer. My dad loved movies, and every time we got together, we would discuss the films we had recently seen. Dad got sick early in the year, so we didn’t get to have our usual movie pow-wows.

My top movies are always of the blockbuster, superhero, scifi/fantasy variety, with some comedies sprinkled in, because I like to rewatch movies, so I tend to pick more uplifting titles as “favorites” — therefore, I’m not saying my list is of the “best” movies, they are just the ones I enjoyed the most and will likely rewatch to my heart’s content.

Earlier this year, Captain America: Civil War stormed into theaters wowing audiences with its spectacular narrative and incredible splash-page sequence that no one could stop talking about. Now, Disney and Marvel are letting fans bring that home, as the film is now available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. We’ve already reviewed the film and had some extra cool coverage during the press junket. Like my previous Blu-ray reviews, this won’t be so much of a review of the film itself, but of the bonus features that come with it. Check it out below.

Here are the list of bonus features with a review below.
