Captain America: Civil War opened with $181.1 million last weekend, giving it the fifth highest opening weekend. Globally, the film is closing in on $500 million and will likely pass $700 million soon. In addition to its commercial success, critics gave the film overwhelmingly positive reviews – you can read our reviews here and here.

In the past few weeks, artists over at Poster Posse have been sharing their take on the film through various prints from different artists. To show their appreciation to the fans who enjoyed the film and to those who have seen it multiple times, Disney Movie Rewards and Fandango have teamed up to give one free Captain America: Civil War poster. Team Captain America and Team Iron Man are set to go head to head when Captain America: Civil War is released early next month, but in true pro wrestling style, the stars behind the two team captains, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., couldn’t wait that long to throw down.

A new video of the two actors meeting face to face has been released by People, and in it tempers flare when Downey Jr. does the unthinkable: takes the last donut (with red, white, and blue sprinkles). Poor Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) can only look on in horror as she gets deer in headlighted by the confrontation.

Captain America: Civil War is a change of direction for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unlike previous films, Civil War explores the themes of internal conflict. When the Avengers fail to contain a hostile, governments from around the world unite to enforce the Sokova Accords, a governing system of checks and balances that would oversee and deploy the team whenever it is deemed necessary. That kind of oversight does not sit well with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), who firmly believes that the safest hands are their own. However, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) fully supports government oversight and accountability. This puts a rift in their friendship, and to make matters worse Bucky (Sebastian Stan) is forced out of hiding when he is accused of acts of terrorism.

We were invited to sit with a group of our fellow journalists at the press conference for Captain America: Civil War where the panel was broken down into two panels. One for Team Iron Man and the other for Team Cap. During the next few weeks we will slowly be rolling out more news about Captain America: Civil War. The ensemble film is unlike anything fans have ever seen in any Marvel Cinematic Universe film. And as such we will try to post the least amount of spoilers.

However, this latest bit isn’t so much of a spoiler, but is about a character that didn’t make the final cut. We sat with a group of journalists during the film’s press conference where Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told us that Wasp was in the early drafts of Civil War. It’s been a few months since we saw the footage of Captain America: Civil War at the D23 Expo. At the time there was only about a week’s worth of shooting left before the sequel was completed. Much of what we saw looked pretty polished, and could have been condensed and cut for a trailer. But nothing has been released since then. One might suspect that they would attach the first trailer to a tentpole film, which would make sense since September and October aren’t known for blockbuster films.

While there have been rumors that the Civil War trailer would be attached to Spectre, which is in U.K. theaters now but drops in North America next week, there is another one that says it will be attached to none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Because, you know, both Marvel and Lucasfilm are owned by Disney. More on this story below.
