Kingsman: The Golden Circle

The new trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle dropped earlier today, which was just in time for their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The cast includes Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Sophie Cookson, all of whom are returning to reprise their roles of the agents of a super secret British spy organization. They will be joined by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Pedro Pascal, who serve as agents of the Statesman, the American version of the Kingsman. Julianne Moore is Poppy, the film’s villain. Matthew Vaughn also returns to direct the sequel.

When it comes to Hall H, you can almost always expect some new footage from the film, and the cast to give it some extra hype. There was also a video that saw this world crossing over with the animated comedy Archer. Check it out below.

Channing Tatum

The gleefully violent, vulgar, and witty spy spoof Kingsman: The Secret Service, based on the comic series The Secret Service created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, was destined to get a sequel after grossing $414 million at the global box office last year. Luckily for us fans of the film, writer-director Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class), his writing partner Jane Goldman (Stardust, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), and newcomer leading man Taron Egerton (Eddie the Eagle, Legend) will all be returning for the sequel, which is now going by the name Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

It now appears as if a Hollywood heavy-hitter is preparing to join the colorful, globe-trotting mayhem as 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum has signed on to play an unspecified role.

Kingsman Header

Kingsman: The Secret Service was the early and unexpected hit of 2015. Thanks to its huge success, the film grew a fanbase, and eventually those fans wanted more. Just a few months back we reported that the Kingsman 2 was in the works, but there seemed to be no confirmation from Mark Millar, whose comic book with Dave Gibbons is the basis for the first movie, or director Matthew Vaughn.

But in a new interview with Vaughn, the director says that he is currently at work writing a script for the sequel. Find out what he had to say about the upcoming film in the video below.

I’m a recent convert to the Whovian Universe. For years I disregarded it as a viable source of entertainment. Not that I disliked it for any particular reason, I guess I just never gave it a chance. But now, having watched several episodes of different incarnations of the show, I can fully appreciate the fun factor you can find in the Time Lord’s stories. With that, I present to you Doctor Who: Dave Gibbons Collection.

Featuring an introduction by Dave Gibbons himself, this book collects all of his works from the very first issue of Doctor Who Weekly, which began featuring tales from the Fourth Doctor, to the tale he wrote about the Fifth Doctor in issue #69 of Doctor Who Monthly. I found myself really getting a feel for some of the earlier portrayals of the Doctor. Using his TARDIS to move (almost) flawlessly from one reality to the next, he finds himself in one pickle after the next but always manages to successfully extract himself and others from whatever problems might arise.
