First ‘X-Files’ Trailer Will Air During ‘Gotham’ & ‘Minority Report’
UPDATE – FOX has released the full trailer online — watch it HERE.
The X-Files is returning to FOX this January with a 6-episode miniseries that will see Mulder (David Duchovny) and and Scully (Gillian Anderson) back on the small screen.
Tonight, FOX will air the first look at the upcoming miniseries in the form of a two-part trailer, with part one shown during Gotham (starting at 8pm), and the second during Minority Report (starting at 9pm).

‘The X-Files’ Officially Returning To Fox With David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson
In January it was reported that Fox was pondering bringing back some its hit shows like Prison Break, 24 (which has already been brought back once for the limited series 24: Live Another Day), and The X-Files. And yet again, no word on Firefly—even a limited series return of the Joss Whedon series would surely send fans into a frenzy.
Today comes word that at least one of those shows is indeed coming back. Fox has ordered a new limited series run of The X-Files, with show stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson set to reprise their roles and show creator Chris Carter also returning.

Fox Discussing ‘The X-Files’ Revival; New ’24,’ ‘Prison Break’ Also Possible
Fox heads Dana Walden and Gary Newman recently talked about some old favorite series that could be getting resurrected in the future.
Shows the duo have revealed they’re interested in reviving are The X-Files, the science fiction-horror series that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, Prison Break, and 24. While more 24 will come as no great shock—the series just completed a successful 12-episode limited event return this past summer—the next run could be without Jack Bauer, played of course by Kiefer Sutherland.
