Arnold Schwarzenegger Joins Kung Fury

Hot off Michael Fassbender‘s casting in Kung Fury, comes the sequel’s latest, and probably craziest, addition. A new report says actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be joining Fassbender and David Hasselhoff. But it’s who Schwarzenegger will be playing that should get the most laughs. Those same reports say he will be the President of the United States of America. More on the story here below.

Michael Fassbender Set To Star In Full-Length Sequel To ‘Kung Fury’

Kung Fury

Four years ago now we found out about an insane sounding short film titled Kung Fury, which was seeking to raise money via a Kickstarter crowdfunded campaign. Nearly 18,000 backers ended up pledging over $630,000 to the project, which was $430,000 more than the filmmakers behind the short were seeking.

The amount raised gives you a great idea of how popular the over-the-top project was, and that popularity carried over to the ridiculously entertaining final product. Now the next step in the journey of Kung Fury, a feature-length sequel, has added a star as Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Steve Jobs, Prometheus) has joined the film.

Exclusive Clip: ‘Killing Hasselhoff’ Starring David Hasselhoff As Himself

Killing Hasselhoff David Hasselhoff

When I was growing up in the mid to late 1980s, few people were as cool as David Hasselhoff. He was Michael Knight, a crimefighter with a talking robotic Pontiac Trans Am in Knight Rider. Then he was Mitch Buchannon, the head lifeguard on Baywatch, a show that defined a generation thanks in part to slow-running gorgeous lifeguards in red one-piece bathing suits. A musical icon in Germany, to younger readers, “The Hoff” is probably best known for his supporting roles in the Sharknado franchise and his cameo in this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Debuting today on DVD and Digital HD, he stars in perhaps his greatest role as… himself, in the comedy Killing Hasselhoff.

The studio has given us an exclusive clip from the film to debut – watch it here below!

‘Baywatch’ Trailer: Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron Save Lives One Boobs and Balls Joke At A Time

Baywatch

The fact that Seth Gordon is behind the lens for Baywatch pretty much tells us that the film reboot will go for a more comedic slant than its cheesy drama TV counterpart. And the first trailer for the film pretty much proves that.

Paramount has released the first trailer for Baywatch, starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Jon Bass, Rob Huebel, and Hannibal Buress. Clearly, the reboot wants to be something else or at least mimic what made the 21 Jump Street films so successful. Find out if it meets your expectations by watching the trailer below.

A teaser for a trailer campaign has been used many times before, so the practice isn’t going away any time soon. We saw that earlier today with Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Now Dwayne Johnson is announcing that the trailer for Baywatch is also debuting tomorrow, and he is telling us this via a trailer tease. Check it out below.

Sharknado 4th Header

Sharknado: The 4th Awakens
Directed by Anthony C Ferrante
Written by Thunder Levin
Starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff, Gary Busey, Ryan Newman, Masiela Lusha, Cody Linley, Imani Hakim
SyFy | Asylum Productions
Release Date: Wednesday, July 31, 2016, 8:00pm ET

The Syfy channel has lived on the back of its campy and so-bad-they’re-good CG-shark fests for years. In 2009, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus debuted. A year later, they started splicing sea creatures together with the Roger Corman-produced Sharktopus. But nothing captured the cultural zeitgeist like 2013’s Sharknado. Celebrities began tweeting about it, and soon it was a social media sensation. It was obvious there needed to be a sequel, and in 2014 we got Sharknado 2: The Second One, followed again last year with Sharknado 3, Oh Hell No! Finally, because we the people demanded it, the franchise that merged sharks and weather phenomena continues with Sharknado: The 4th Awakens! On a sentimental note, I consider the Sharknado franchise my Geeks Of Doom anniversary as Part 2 was my first review for the site.

Five years ago, Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his wife April (Tara Reid) rode back to Earth inside the belly of a giant shark from outer space. Their son Gil was born inside the shark. Unfortunately, their happy ending was interrupted, and it seemed like April was killed by falling space debris. At least that’s what Fin thought…

Spoilers below.

Sharknado 4th Awakens Header

After destroying Los Angeles, New York, and Disney, the Sharknado, (maybe the biggest sinful pleasure in TV history), finally heads to Sin City. Later this month on SyFy, the fourth entry into the franchise heads to Las Vegas, Nevada where once again, Finn Shepard must save the world, or in this case, D-List celebrities from an array of flying sharks. Set to appear along star Ian Ziering are a who’s who of celebs including Carrot Top, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, outspoken right wing actress Stacey Dash, and of course, Vegas legend Wayne Newton.

Knight Rider marathon David Hasselhoff El Rey Network

Before he became a global sensation as a singer and as the star of TV’s Baywatch, David Hasselhoff headlined the NBC television series Knight Rider as the high-tech crimefighter Michael Knight. Created and produced by Glen A. Larson (Battlestar Galactica, Magnum, P.I.), the show ran from 1982 to 1986 and famously featured Knight’s talking car, KITT, modeled after the Pontiac Trans Am.

Now, the El Rey Network will air a 10-hour marathon of the series on Hasselhoff’s birthday, Sunday, July 17th from 10AM ET to 8PM ET/PT, hosted by The Hoff himself.

Check out the promo video for the event here below.

Sharknado 4th Header

The weather is getting warmer. The school year is winding down. That can mean only one thing… it’s time for another Sharknado!!! And Syfy will not disappoint, releasing the fourth installment in its laughably bad, but epically awesome series appropriately titled “The 4th Awakens.” Directed once again by Anthony C. Ferrante, the usual suspects return led by Ian Ziering as Fin Shepard. After Los Angeles, New York, and Orlando, where else would a Sharknado hit… well the desert of course… it’s viva Las Vegas for the CG sharks!

Check out the teaser for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens below.
