Star Wars Title Logo

There has been some debate as to which Star Wars films will follow Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. We knew that Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson was developing a new trilogy and that Game of Thrones creators and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were developing their own project. But we didn’t know which would come first. The recent release of Disney’s film release schedule didn’t reveal any clue as to which one would hit theaters first either, but it did show us that we will be getting at least three films in the coming years.

But now Bob Iger has revealed that Benioff and Weiss’s project will be the next Star Wars film we see after The Rise of Skywalker. See what he had to say below.

Though Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be the final chapter of the Skywalker saga, the Star Wars hype doesn’t stop there. It will live on through new stories that will be told by The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson and Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Their new trilogies will expand the Star Wars universe in unimaginable ways. And though we know that the three are handling their own franchises, we know next to nothing about them. And probably won’t for a while since they are working on other projects – Johnson is finishing Knives Out, and Benioff and Weiss are overseeing the final season of Game of Thrones.

Luckily, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy provided some insight on what we can expect from their Star Wars projects and what it could mean for the franchise. Check out what she had to say below.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Trailer

It’s the last season of Game Of Thrones, and although the season 8 premiere episode didn’t tell us who would be claiming the throne, we have learned that Cersei really wanted elephants for her army, Tyrion likes to tell a lot of ball jokes to the eunuch Varys, and Bran can give a dirty glance to Jaime. Of course, I’m not going to reveal some of the bigger spoilers here, but I can tell you that the stage is being set for one grand series finale.

But for those who love a behind-the-scenes look, especially for one of the most popular television shows, you can see how Winter Town, a small little town just outside of Winterfell, was created; the expectations for the first episode of the final season; what it like for the cast to come back, and much more. Check out the video here below.

It’s been nearly two years now since Game of Thrones last left us after the season seven finale “The Dragon and the Wolf,” so to say that fans are excited for its return this Sunday would be a massive understatement. At the same time, the return is bittersweet. The upcoming season eight is also the show’s grand finale, and fans know that in six short weeks it will all be over and they’ll likely be spending the summer bursting into tears at random moments. When they’re at the bank. When they’re trying to pick out the best avocado at the market. When the damn clown is making a balloon poodle at their kid’s birthday party. It’s going to be a mess, and very confusing for those who don’t watch the series.

While most of us don’t want it to end, we all understand that a show can run too long and damage the overall product. Better to tell the story with as little filler episodes added in to stretch the series out as possible. But there is one particularly interesting person who doesn’t think the show should be ending just yet, someone who’s pretty familiar with it: George R.R. Martin.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Header Image

As we saw in the official trailer for Game of Thrones season eight, some scary shit is about to go down at Winterfell.

Now HBO has released a new teaser video titled “Aftermath” two weeks before the final season of the series arrives—a little under two weeks in fact. The video appears to show Winterfell after said scary shit has come and gone. And let’s just say…you should not go into this one expecting sunshine and rainbows.

You can check out the video, as well as a pair of promos HBO has also released titled “Together” and “Survival,” below.
