If you have the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World, you must know which rides and shows everyone queues up for at the start of the day. At Epcot, all race toward Soarin’ or Test Track. For Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris bring the longest lines. But many attractions are often unfortunately overlooked, namely because many other spectacles distract guests’ attention.

The purpose behind this Disney In Depth is to honor the many shows, exhibits, films, and rides that may be forgotten in the mix of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World. Here are my 10 Most Overlooked Walt Disney World Attractions.

What an odd and oddly-wonderful Oscars. As the 86th Academy Awards winds down, we reflect on the shocking wins, disappointing losses, and memorably unusual moments. But here we focus on the Disney elements, whether prominent or more subtle, that persisted throughout the show.

Frozen thawed the cooler hearts of some voters, scoring it two wins. And the other Disney nominees? Not so lucky. Yet the influence of the Mouse could be felt throughout the theatre. Let’s analyze Disney at the Oscars 2014.

20 years ago children were introduced to a wacky and highly-enthusiastic brainiac who wanted to share his love of the scientific world with everyone. Meet Bill Nye, who started his career as a Boeing engineer, but later became a pop culture icon through hosting a ’90s-era educational show. Bill Nye the Science Guy aired around 100 episodes during its run, and the man, who sports that signature bow-tie, continues to make his mark in Disney’s world.

Here are some examples of how Bill Nye is in many ways a Disney guy.

Ellen Staff In Walking Dead Haunted House

There’s probably not a whole lot of geeks tuning into Ellen Degeneres‘s talk show The Ellen Degeneres Show each day, but there are swarms of them tuning into AMC’s The Walking Dead each week.

Each year in October Ellen sends one of her writers through a haunted house because, you know, people getting the crap scared out of them is pure entertainment gold. This year Ellen sent an executive producer along with her writer to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to check out their Walking Dead-themed haunted house, and of course, hilarity ensued.

You can see the video of their experience below.

Finding Dory Header

Andrew Stanton’s career in live-action filmmaking may be on hold for right now, but there is no question that he knows his way around directing an animated film. It was announced last year that he along with Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks are returning for a Finding Nemo sequel. Now Disney has announced that the sequel is officially titled Finding Dory, and Pixar has scheduled the film to be released on November 25, 2015.

It’s a big ocean, so we’ll be seeing brand new characters enter the fold, and the film will take place a year after the events of Finding Nemo, where our fish friends from both the ocean and the fish tank find themselves swimming along the California coastline.

Finding Nemo 3D Image

After lots of negotiating, Disney•Pixar has reached a deal with Albert Brooks to reprise his role as Marlin the clown fish in Finding Nemo 2.

We found out that a sequel was on the way with Andrew Stanton returning to direct back in July, and that Ellen DeGeneres had signed on to reprise her role as Dory just month later. Brooks, however, was apparently a little bit trickier to lock up, and it’s said that he’ll be paid rather handsomely for the gig.
