Did you think the story came to an end after Frank Darabont finally shared his thoughts on being fired from his duties as showrunner of The Walking Dead by AMC just after the shortened first season made the show one of the most popular to ever air on TV screens? If so, you would be very much incorrect.

In fact, Darabont and his agents at CAA (Creative Artists Agency) claim they are owed “tens of millions of dollars” by AMC, and are suing the company because of this. The lawsuit was filed today in New York, and accuses AMC of using something known as “self-dealing” to try and avoid paying money to creative talent.

Frank Darabont

It’s been quite a while now since we found out that Frank Darabont was fired by AMC from his position as showrunner of The Walking Dead. This after only one season of a show he developed for five years; of a show he talked Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal into starring in; of a show that would become explosively popular on its way to becoming one of AMC’s biggest shows of all time, joining titles like Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Darabont has been busy since then working on his next project, Mob City, which looks fantastic and is set to debut on TNT December 4th.

But one thing we’ve never heard is a comment from Darabont himself on the drama that unfolded. Now that changes, with the Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, and The Mist director finally sharing his thoughts. And as you might have imagined, he’s not at all pleased with how things went down.

Continue reading to see what he had to say.

TNT's Mob City Image

After being credited as creator of the hit AMC series The Walking Dead and acting as showrunner for a short while, Frank Darabont was fired and moved on to a new project. This new project was set up with TNT, and was known at the time as L.A. Noir. Not L.A. Noire the video game, but based on the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City by John Buntin.

Since then the show has changed its name to Lost Angels, cast people like Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal, and changed the title again, this time to Mob City.

Now a first trailer has been released for the show, which is set to premiere on December 4th, and you can watch it below.
