RELEASE DATE: March 23, 2010
For four straight years now, After Dark Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For has been unleashed. Eight original horror films to quench your thirst for blood and gore and screams galore. Last year I was able to check out and review their third collection of horrors (Read: DVD Review: After Dark Horrorfest III: 8 Films To Die For), and was rather excited to check out their new slate this year! Instead of cramming every review into one mammoth review, this year we’ll take it one flick at a time, with this little opener stuck at the top of each one.
Within the realms of the horror genre, some of the scariest movies are those that are set in reality. Movies that involve situations and people that you could brush shoulders with every single day, or maybe that you even know personally. Dread is a film that is built around this concept, and it works on all available levels.
The movie tells the story of a college student named Stephen (Jackson Rathbone), who pretty much just keeps to himself and goes about his own business, careful not to step on any toes along the way. One day he meets Quaid (Shaun Evans), and the two hit it off over a couple of beers and a discussion about fear.

It’s Official: ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Will Be Two Movies
If you’ve been following the progress of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn at all, you know it’s been long-expected and long-assumed that the final chapter to the film series would be split into two films.
The move was expected as it would be in an attempt to cover as much of the story’s details as possible and of course to pile as much cash into the bank as they possibly could before the franchise’s end.
In a press release put out by Summit Entertainment today, it was finally made official: Breaking Dawn will indeed be a two-part movie. The film will go into production some time this fall, and the first of these two movies will be released in November of 2011.

‘Twilight’ Holdouts Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz Confirmed For ‘Breaking Dawn’
|
|
Recently it was reported that because Summit Entertainment had not decided earlier that their final movie in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, would be split into two movies and because their actors had become stars, talents like Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz were holding out in hopes of pulling in a much bigger payday (Read: Will ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Re-Cast Cullen Kids Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz?). It was also for this reason that the assumed-two-part film had not been made “official” yet, even though there was little doubt that all cast members would eventually rejoin the three main stars.
In a press release put out by Summit, the studio announced the return of the entire Cullen family, including Greene, Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, and Elizabeth Reaser. The release pointed out that the actors have joined Billy Burke, who plays Charlie Swan. Three new posters were also released for the next film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, one of which can seen to the right.

Two New Posters Released For M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Last Airbender’
Paramount Pictures has released two new posters for M. Night Shyamalan‘s new soon-to-be-released feature film, The Last Airbender.
The movie is an adaptation of the animated Nickelodeon kids-aimed series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which tells the story of a boy with special abilities who runs away when he is told he is the next Avatar. 100-years later he is found frozen in an iceberg, right when he is most needed to help his world and his people stop the evil Fire Lord Ozai from destroying his fellow nations in search of ultimate power.
Conjure up your own natural element of choice (I like water; you can have a water balloon fight without all that messy latex) and continue on over to the other side to check out the new posters!

Watch Now: New Trailer For M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Last Airbender’
A brand new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan‘s animated TV series adaptation, The Last Airbender, has been released by Paramount, and you can watch it below right now!
The movie is an adaptation of the Nickelodeon kid’s show Avatar: The Last Airbender (changed due to…you know, that other movie that found moderate success) in which a boy named Aang is declared the next Avatar, who can control all of the different elements such as fire and water. In a world in which there are four different nations who each control one element, this makes him…unique, to say the least. Fearing the responsibility, he flees but ends up frozen in a glacier. One hundred years later, he is discovered frozen and revived in order to fight the evil Fire Lord of the Fire Nation.
Defrost yourself, grab a towel, and head over to the bottom of the page to peek at the new trailer for The Last Airbender!
