Warning – SPOILERS for AMC’s The Walking Dead…
On last week’s mid-season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, Rick and some of his crew from Alexandria went to both the Hilltop colony and the Kingdom to get the two communities to join his fight against Negan and the Saviors. But both of those groups turned Rick down, fearing that they’d lose if they went up against the Saviors. It seemed like the Alexandrians would remain on their own. When they returned home, they find their pantry has been emptied and Father Gabriel is gone. At first, it seemed as if Gabriel made off with everything and abandoned them, but Rick knows better. He found a clue left behind – the word “Boat,” and figured out that he must return to the boat area where they’d recently found supplies. When they arrive back to the area, they are surrounded by a new group of people carrying weapons. But Rick wasn’t afraid; instead, he smiled.
In the latest episode, 7.10 “New Best Friends,” we find out why Rick was smiling and what happened to Father Gabriel, as well as what’s happening back at the Kingdom and with the self-exiled Carol.

Warning – SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Season 6″¦
Seriously”¦”¦”¦ SPOILERS”¦”¦
Episode 6.8, “Start To Finish,” is the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead, which means we’ll have to wait till February to find out what happened to the residents of the Alexandria Safe Zone after the latest Walker attack. Because AMC loves to torture us.
The Alexandria Safe Zone was supposed to be a piece of paradise inside the hell on earth that exists in the post-apocalyptic Walking Dead universe. But, as Tara and Rosita say in this episode, a place like this comes with a price. Many have died already, and now, it seems that their existence at the Safe Zone might, in fact, be “over.”
Rick and his group have gone from place to place trying to find a real home to settle in: First, it was their crude encampment with the RV. Then there was Hershel’s idyllic farm, but it wasn’t a stronghold. The Governor infiltrated the confines of the Prison, and the too-good-to-be-true Terminus turned out to be a cannibal holocaust. The Alexandria Safe Zone was supposed to be their final destination, a true safe haven that was protected against the walkers, as well as a throwback to life before the dead began rising. But, that throwback proved to be a little too much comfort. Without a common enemy to fight (i.e., the Walkers), the Alexandrians got caught up in too much drama. It seems as though the residents let their human squabbles blind them to the point where they forgot that the end of the world had come, and the time for such trivialities was long passed.

Since then, every episode has been a wait to see if Glenn was actually killed or if he managed to somehow survive. As the weeks passed, it seemed more and more like Glenn is gone, and last week, his pregnant wife, Maggie, even seemed to be coming to terms with the loss after abandoning her plans to go out and look for him.

Warning – SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Season 6…
In the previous episode, 6.5 “Now,” of The Walking Dead, Rick had returned to the Safe Zone, and so had Michonne and her group, after the community was attacked by the Wolves. While the audience knew what happened to Glenn and Nicholas, the residents still held out hope for their return — and every fan of the show is still waiting for a miracle that would bring Glenn back. What neither the residents nor the audience knew yet is what happened to Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham. The trio had continued with the original mission to lure a pack of Walkers away from the Alexandria Safe Zone, while Rick and Michonne’s respective groups went to deal with the Walkers that had been drawn away from the path by the loud horn emanating from the Safe Zone, which was under attack by the Wolves.
On this week’s The Walking Dead, Episode 6.6 “Always Accountable,” we finally got to see what happened to Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham in a story that stays solely on them and their encounters.
