Last week on Gotham, Kathryn (Leslie Hendrix) stole Barnes (Michael Chiklis) out of Arkham for his virus blood. She charged Dr. Strange (BD Wong) with creating a version that was transmutable through the air. Jim (Ben McKenzie) was in good with the Court of Owls, tested when Kathryn wanted to infect a roomful of people. He failed the test when he got Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) to help rescue them. Ivy found Selina (Maggie Geha, Camren Bicondova) in the hospital and cured her with her special plants. Selina ran to kill Bruce 2 (David Mazouz). Kathryn set Barnes after Jim. The Court kidnapped Penguin and put him in a cage next to Nygma (Cory Michael Smith).

Last week on Gotham, Lee’s (Morena Baccharin) engagement party ended how every single party in Gotham ends – in bloodshed. This time, it was the GCPD that was to blame. Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) did catch a sleazy doctor who cut off people’s faces for money, but managed to control himself and turn him in. Of course the guy was released, and that sent Barnes off, causing him to beat up and toss the guy out the window. The doctor named Barnes as the killer to Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) before he died. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) had Isabella (Chelsea Spack) killed, when he failed to break her and Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) up by scaring her off.

Last week on Arrow, Felicity and her long lost dad (Emily Bett Rickards and guest Tom Amandes) fought to keep Rubicon offline, and got some help from Curtis (Echo Kellum), while upset Donna (Charlotte Ross) stood by. Merlyn (John Barrowman) drugged Thea (Willa Holland) into fighting Oliver (Stephen Amell), as he and Diggle (David Ramsey) tried to rescue her. She shook it off pretty quickly though. Anarky was running around the H.I.V.E. ark ready to get revenge on Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and started by killing Ruvé Darhk (Janet Kidder). The heroes saved the little girl, and the geeks saved the world by shutting Darhk down.

Last week on Gotham, Alfred (Sean Pertwee) tells Bruce (David Mazouz) that he will be the one to kill Malone, the guy who killed his parents. Bruce pretends to agree, but then asks Selina (Camren Bicondova) to get him a gun. Mr. Freeze (Nathan Darrow) attempts to grab his wife, Nora, from Arkham where she is being used as bait. Dr. Strange (BD Wong) helps him out in exchange for his formula. Lee (Morena Baccharin) goes with Freeze as a hostage, getting a lot of insight as to the inner working of mens minds from Nora, who then kills herself by switching the “bullet” to a flawed formula. Fries turns the gun on himself, but he is somehow resurrected in his true villain form by Strange. We see a glimpse of Theo Galavan (James Frain) in a giant tube.

Last week Arrow returned strong, giving us a glimpse at Olicity (Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards) suburbia, which was adorable as expected. But that would end up being a boring show that got canceled, so of course, Laurel and Thea (Katie Cassidy and Willa Holland) show up and interrupt a marriage proposal (Felicity is still in the dark). Needless to say, newly costumed Diggle (David Ramsey) is not pleased. There are “ghosts” in Star City, wreaking havoc, under the tutelege of Damien Darhk (perfectly cast Neal McDonough). He uses magic to suck life from people. He and his ghosts have killed 3 of 4 city leaders. The one survivor? The convenient Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne).

Some spoilers below.
