John Carter

Walt Disney Pictures really, really wants you to see John Carter, the movie they’ve been marketing rather poorly up until recently. You can watch the video here below.

All I can say after watching this clip is, “Hot damn.” There is infinitely more humor, adventure, and tension in this clip than in the entirety of recent sci-fi tentpole releases like Cowboys & Aliens and Tron: Legacy.

Walt Disney Pictures premiered a new television spot for their upcoming big-budget sci-fi adventure John Carter last night during the Super Bowl and later released an extended version of the preview online.

Both versions of the preview begin with a montage of scenes from John Carter that slowly reveal to form the film’s title, which would be a kick to watch if not for the fact that both the title and the logo font are awful.
