Superman Wonder Woman Batman

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wrapped up production late 2014, which still leaves us a good year and a few months until the release of the film. We really haven’t seen much of the film besides the occasional set photo leak, and the only footage came in the form of a teaser that we saw at SDCC last year. Given the amount of anticipation, fans are eagerly awaiting what Warner Bros. has in store for the next chapter of the DC Cinematic Universe. Despite the film being released next year, we could see a small teaser sooner than later. In fact, a lot sooner.

Latino Review has the scoop that a teaser to Batman v Superman will drop as early as next month. There is a small caveat though. You will only be able to see the trailer first by buying a movie ticket to see Jupiter Ascending when it opens in theaters February. Hit the jump for more.

SDCC 2014: Jupiter Ascending panel comic con

Jupiter Ascending, a wild, swinging juggernaut of a science-fiction film, created by the eclectic Wachowskis, Lana Wachowski and Andy Wachowski, made a strong debut at Comic Con’s Hall H today. Moderated by Chris Hardwick and starring Channing Tatum, who Hardwick had jokingly asked to take of his shirt and do a Magic Mike “cosplay,” asked Tatum questions about the film, in which he said was going to be a crazy, incredible ride indeed.

The Wachowskis’ ‘Jupiter Ascending’ Delayed From This Summer Until Next February

Jupiter Ascending Trailer

Andy and Lana Wachowski‘s latest big-budget sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending initially looked to be one of this summer movie season’s oddest entries, but no more. For reasons that have yet to be made clear Warner Bros., which co-financed the $150 million tentpole blockbuster wannabe with Village Roadshow, has moved the film out of its original July 18, 2014 release date and rescheduled it for next February.

I can’t say that I’m surprised by this move. With no major stars and a storyline not based on any existing fictional properties Jupiter faced potential stiff competition on opening weekend from the likes of Planes: Fire and Rescue, The Purge: Anarchy, and Sex Tape, not to mention only getting two weeks to make its mark on audiences before Guardians of the Galaxy debuted.

jupiter ascending mila kunis

Warner Bros has released the first trailer for the Jupiter Ascending starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, and Eddie Redmayne. The film can be seen as a Cinderella in space kind of story, with Kunis playing the princess who’s working dead-end jobs on planet Earth being saved by Caine (Tatum), who tells her that her genetic markings puts her next in line for the galactic throne. Hit the jump to see the full trailer.

I’m not going to lie to you: For something that goes from planet Earth to Jupiter, the Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending‘s scope seems surprisingly small. But the detail that went into the visuals, now that is something that will definitely take your breath away. Something that really shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the directing team brought us films like The Matrix Trilogy, Speed Racer, and Cloud Atlas.

The cast for the trippy-sounding follow-up to Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski‘s Cloud Atlas, titled Jupiter Ascending, is coming together quite nicely.

The lead roles will be played by Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, and Les Miserables star Eddie Redmayne recently joined as well. Now comes word that fan favorite Sean Bean is also joining the cast.

Eddie Redmayne Image

Eddie Redmayne, one of the many stars of the fast-approaching new film version of Les Miserables, is in talks to join the cast of Jupiter Ascending, the next movie from The Matrix trilogy and Cloud Atlas writers and directors, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski.

Redmayne would join Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, who are both already on board the project. Details about the movie are very few at the moment. Tatum is playing a man named Django Wise, while Kunis is playing a Russian immigrant named Jupiter. It’s unclear who Redmayne would be playing.
