Romantic comedies may be a dime a dozen, but every once in a while there comes one that can change the course of cinema. And in the age of having more representation on the big screen, no film is more important than Crazy Rich Asians. Director Jon M. Chu‘s adaptation of the Kevin Kwan novel of the same name represents that shift. It’s a film that changes the genre by looking at it from a different perspective, one that has been largely ignored for almost an entire generation.

And because of that, Crazy Rich Asians is not only a special film but one that is also highly entertaining and enlightening. Check out my full review below.

Killing Hasselhoff David Hasselhoff

When I was growing up in the mid to late 1980s, few people were as cool as David Hasselhoff. He was Michael Knight, a crimefighter with a talking robotic Pontiac Trans Am in Knight Rider. Then he was Mitch Buchannon, the head lifeguard on Baywatch, a show that defined a generation thanks in part to slow-running gorgeous lifeguards in red one-piece bathing suits. A musical icon in Germany, to younger readers, “The Hoff” is probably best known for his supporting roles in the Sharknado franchise and his cameo in this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Debuting today on DVD and Digital HD, he stars in perhaps his greatest role as… himself, in the comedy Killing Hasselhoff.

The studio has given us an exclusive clip from the film to debut – watch it here below!

The Muppets Clark Gregg Header

ABC is having a blast with The Muppets, and it hasn’t even aired yet. The premise, a faux documentary show, goes behind the scenes and follows the Muppets around in their personal lives. To go along with this, ABC has filmed TV spots starring other ABC stars, but also did it from a behind the scenes perspective. The spots include Scott Foley and Kerry Washington (Scandal), Eden Sher (The Middle), Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken – coming soon), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), and Randall Park and Constance Wu (Fresh Off the Boat).

Watch all of the ads below. So fun!

Community - Season 5

Fans of the hit sitcom Community were pretty bummed out when the show was canceled recently after five seasons, significantly damaging hope for “six seasons and a movie.”

But these days being canceled isn’t necessarily a death sentence. With the rise of streaming media, other options exist. The hope that a company like Netflix or Hulu or Amazon will resurrect a dead series for their streaming service means faithful fans always have a little spark of hope.

For Community, that hope is now a reality. The comedy is indeed getting a season six after all, but its savior might not be who you were expecting.

Penguins of Madagascar Trailer Header Image

He’s played a contemporary version of one of the most famous literary detectives around. He’s played an iconic villain in the Star Trek universe. He’s voiced a terrifying dragon in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. He’s even played dual roles as both creator and monster in the a stage production of Frankenstein. Now Benedict Cumberbatch will be taking his talents to the animated world in Penguins of Madagascar, but not as a Penguin. No, instead the actor will voice a wolf of an elite task force team composed of other arctic animals, who recruit these penguins to help them on a mission of great importance.

So hit the jump to see the trailer, and hear the sultry voice that is Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Hangover Part III Header

After holding off on months and months of promotions for The Hangover Part III, the WB marketing team has released its second trailer for the film. While we’ve been waiting to hear how this film is unlike the first two, the first trailer didn’t seem to clarify how it would separate itself from its predecessors.
