Written and directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent), Dog Soldiers is a horror-thriller about a squad of six British Army soldiers dispatched to the Scottish Highlands on a training mission.

Private Cooper (Kevin McKidd), Sergeant Harry G. Wells (Sean Pertwee), Private “Spoon” Witherspoon (Darren Morfitt), and their fellow compatriots encounter Captain Richard Ryan (Liam Cunningham) – the sole survivor of a Special Ops mission gone horribly wrong.

Off-kilter and cryptic as all get-out, Captain Ryan refuses to disclose his top secret mission – or what slaughtered his men – to the group. Before the soldiers can get control of the situation, they’re attacked by stealthy assailants. Help comes in the form of Megan (Emma Cleasby), a zoologist who leads the remaining men to a deserted farmhouse in the wilderness. As darkness falls, the decrepit shelter is surrounded by their attackers – a pack of bloodthirsty werewolves.

Disney In Depth: ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot’ Review

Take on the spotlight, Trixie. The blue Triceratops (voiced by the astoundingly droll Kristen Schaal) who enjoys playing games with best buddy Rex finally has an opportunity to steal the show – and truly, she dominates the screen in all the best ways in this half-hour special.

Toy Story That Time Forgot proves the brand remains mighty and merry. The ABC holiday event succeeds last year’s Toy Story of TERROR! as the franchise’s second major foray on television. It delivers that high-quality mirth we can expect from Disney•Pixar. Toy Story That Time Forgot is one special you will want to return to again and again.

The number 13. It is a bad one, often fraught with misfortune. Sadly that misfortune applies to Pixar’s unlucky 13th feature, Brave, a bold, well-intentioned and genuinely good film with many elements that regretfully do not work in its favor. Fortuitously, though, its Blu-ray release is among the best you can find this holiday season. So bear with me and embark on a Blu-ray review of Brave.

Film

After an intense prologue set in medieval Scotland, where it looks like King Fergus (voiced with gusto by Billy Connolly) will be slain by demon bear Mor’du, we think the film will strike a consistently dark tone. In one sense, yes, Brave heads down an intense path with some accomplished guidance. Yet it also wanders around a trail scattered by silliness and irrelevance. That is perhaps the most consistent issue with Brave, in that it holds a conflicting narrative, never knowing if it wants to be a forceful or relaxed picture.

Full Trailer For ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’ Released

Percy Jackson & the Olympians

Up until now, we had only seen a mediocre teaser trailer for Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, but now the first full trailer is online and it definitely gives you a better idea of what the movie is looking to become.

The movie is directed by Chris Columbus, who also directed Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. This is fitting, as The Lightning Thief has a definite Harry Potter vibe to it, only instead of wizardry, we have Greek mythology. It’s definitely aimed at a teen/family audience, but also looks like it could be a lot of fun for all ages. The story follows a teenage boy who discovers that he is the son of god of the sea, Poseidon, and has to help to locate the lightning bolt of Zeus before a war breaks out amongst the gods.

Click on over to check out the trailer and share your thoughts below!
