Black Panther is the 18th Marvel Studios film to be released. Now just a few months after its initial release, it is coming home on Blu-ray and digital.

Director Ryan Coogler presents audiences with a new kind of superhero film. By weaving in social issues – like culture, identity, and representation – that affect us today, he turns what would have been an ordinary comic book movie into an extraordinary crowning achievement. It’s certainly not a risky film, but one that needed to be made. For there is a superhero in everyone, and it’s high time that we get to see more representation on the big screen. Check out my review of Black Panther on 4K below.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany in Avengers: Infinity War

A lot of us are still reeling after the ending of Avengers: Infinity War. With a massive superhero ensemble like this, we knew there would be some casualties, but I don’t think any of us were prepared for what Marvel gave us. Obviously, the upcoming sequel will have some of the heroes who didn’t appear in Infinity War make an appearance in Avengers 4, even a certain hero who could only be reached via retro technology. So as many of us are still coping, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are talking about how Avengers 4 will not reverse what was done in Infinity War. That ending was real and permanent, they say. But we can expect to see some surprises in Avengers 4. Check out what the two had to say here below.

Warning: major spoilers ahead, so if you haven’t seen the film, I suggest you do not continue reading on any further.

It has been ten long years since Marvel Studios began its comic book movie journey. Starting the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), we have now reached Avengers: Infinity War, a one of a kind superhero ensemble film so big that it takes heroes from across the globe and the galaxy to defend and protect all life from the likes of Thanos (Josh Brolin), a powerful force who is gathering six Infinity Stones together, so that he may use them to wipe out half of humanity and bring forth balance to the universe.

Though some of these ensemble superhero films may be too big for their own good, Avengers: Infinity War finds a way to make it work. The chemistry between the cast is almost perfect, the action is superb, and the scope of the film is epic. This film is the embodiment of the can’t-miss summer movie event. And what makes this so much more different than its 18 predecessors is that it is able to make the balancing act work.

Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of 10 years of Marvel Studios films. In the past 18 films that they have released, we’ve seen heroes defend the Earth and the Galaxy from demi-gods, highly intelligent robots, and themselves. Now it all culminates in this one massive event that brings the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy together to defend it against the Mad Titan, himself, Thanos.

We were invited to sit down with our fellow journalists to talk to the cast, directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the film. But the thing is, no one had actually seen the film, at least as of this post. So there were really no questions the press could work off of other than the trailers and what has already been reported on.

But one thing we know is going to happen is that Thanos is coming, and it’s going to take one giant superheroic collective effort to stop him. So, what can we expect to see from the two groups who will have to stop Thanos from wiping out half of humanity? Who will live? Who will die? Does Thanos actually consider the Avengers and Guardians an actual threat? Check out what they had to say here below.

Avengers: Infinity War

We’ve all heard about how Avengers: Infinity War will have 22 heroes in the film. If you include the villains and the ambiguously motivated Loki, that’s 28. That’s a lot of character posters.

So how do you solve this problem? You put the Avengers in five other posters. Five posters that are colored to the Infinity Stones we have seen so far. Check out who made the cut, and which stone was left out, below.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Images: You Want A Moon, Thanos Will Hurl One At You

Avengers: Infinity War

One of the highlights of the first look at Avengers: Infinity War at D23 Expo 2017 was Thanos (Josh Brolin) raising his hand in the air and make a throwing motion. Only thing is, he wasn’t throwing an energy ball, he was hurling an entire celestial object at our title heroes.

Up until now, fans who didn’t get a chance to see it had to paint a mental image of that in their heads. Now they get to see what that looks like in some newly released images. As we get closer to the release of the sequel, more and more promotional material will hit the web. Then there’s the inevitable trailer, which will try to match or surpass the first trailer. But for now, let’s just settle for the new images, which you can check out below.

Avengers: Infinity War

We all know that Avengers: Infinity War will be the superhero film to end all superhero films. The mega-ensemble sequel will unite at least 22 heroes together for one film that sees them try to prevent Thanos from obtaining all six powerful Infinity Stones that have been hidden throughout the galaxy.

In anticipation of Infinity War, EW has released 15 new magazine covers featuring the heroes that will be seen in the film. Check it out below.

‘Black Panther’ On Empowering Its Complex and Fearless Female Cast
space

Black Panther Okoye and Nakia

While the title of Marvel Studios’ upcoming film is Black Panther, the female cast members are really the standout characters of the film. All have their roles to play, but none of them adhere to the tired old tropes of what a female character is supposed to be in a superhero film. Because in Wakanda, the female characters are celebrated as queens, spies, bodyguards, and inventors. And trust me when I say this, the women of Wakanda are people you do not want to fight. Marvel fans got to see a glimpse of them in Captain America: Civil War where Ayo stepped in front of Black Widow and threatened to forcibly remove her if she did not get out of T’Challa’s way.

Now we get to see more of that fearlessness in Black Panther. The film has not one, not two, not three, but four powerful female characters who are ready to step up and fight to protect and for honor. We had a chance to sit down with our fellow journalists during the film’s press junket where Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Angela Bassett (Ramonda), and Letitia Wright (Shuri) shared their thoughts on working with director Ryan Coogler on the film, and how it paved the way for more representation and culture to play a role in a film. Check out what they had to say here below.
