Crimson Peak from director Guillermo del Toro is easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2015. We saw a sneak peek of the film during the Legendary Panel at Comic-Con last year, but that was so long ago, the footage is almost forgotten. While we wait for a trailer to appear, Empire has released a couple of images before the film’s Halloween season release.

Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam star in the film that puts a gothic twist on love and temptation. While Hiddleston may have eye-catching appeal, there is something else in the images that is more incredible and striking to look at than the actor. Hit the jump to check them out.

Emma Stone was the first to be cast in Guillermo del Toro‘s next project after Pacific Rim, titled Crimson Peak. Unfortunately the actress was forced to depart the movie due to scheduling conflicts.

Now comes word of the actress that may replace her. It’s being reported that Alice in Wonderland and Stoker star Mia Wasikowska has entered into talks to replace Stone, so long as her reps can make sure that her schedule won’t also cause problems.

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam must have enjoyed his experience making Pacific Rim with director Guillermo del Toro, because he has now entered into early negotiations to join del Toro’s next project, Crimson Peak.

If a deal is worked out, Hunnam would join Emma Stone, who is also currently in negotiations for the movie.

It’s being reported that Gangster Squad and The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone has entered into early negotiations to star in the movie. No deal is official yet, but sources indicate that the actress is expected to sign on when the details are worked out.

We hear about Guillermo del Toro‘s “next” project fairly often, more times than not proving to not be his next project at all.

Still, it’s being reported that the visionary director has set up his next movie with Legendary Pictures, the same studio behind his massive upcoming monsters versus robots flick, Pacific Rim.

The movie is titled Crimson Peak, and will bring the director back to something he’s quite familiar with: ghosts.
