Late Late Show Klingon Rap Wayne Brady William Shatner Jonathan Mangum

In honor of two of his favorite things — Black History Month and Star Trek — comedian and TV host Wayne Brady performed a Klingon rap song on Wednesday on TV’s The Late Late Show.

Brady, who has been guest-hosting the CBS late-night talk show all this week, was inspired to do the rap — which actually includes lines in Klingon, the fictional Star Trek language — by that evening’s guest, Mr. William Shatner, aka the original James Tiberius Kirk.

Check out the “Klingon Rap” video here below.

Interview: MC Chris banner

mc chris is known for a lot of things. From his early days as the simple, mild mannered Chris Ward working on Adult Swim, to his super hero like transformation into nerd rapper, mc chris – who’s known for songs such as ‘Fett’s Vett,’ ‘Hoodie Ninja,’ and ‘Part One’ (or as my fiance calls it, the Batman song). Ward has had his share of ups and downs, but has not balked from the downs, openly discussing them. I respect that, and have been a fan of his ever since the line “Hesh wants sex!” from Sea Lab 2021.

I had the opportunity to talk with Ward this week about his Kickstarter and current work-in-progress, the tentatively titled mc chis cartoon.

CraniumelodyHere at Geeks Of Doom, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of some of the great music that was released in 1986. It was a big year for music, notably the genre of metal, with major groundbreaking releases coming out from Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and much more.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll be seeing some 1986 music flashback-related posts popping up here at Geeks of Doom, and to help keep the theme going, we decided to join forces with the Social Blend and get some tunes crankin’ in the lead up to some of these upcoming posts.

Social Blend mainly focuses on news and stories posted at Mixx.com, but every couple of months we do a special music edition of the show called CRANIUMELODY. Essentially we try and select some obscure and underrated songs for people to check out, and other times we make selections based on a topic or theme for the show.

2010-03-20_fssIf you have not yet watched the music video for Fuck Shit Stack by Reggie Watts, I would highly recommend doing so — pending that you aren’t easily offended by explicit language, are a minor or generally just have no sense of humor.

Between Dave3 and I, we’ve probably watched the video at least 60 times. By the end of the night that number could easily double. The truth is, I can’t really explain what’s going on in the video because I don’t want to ruin the experience. I would call it the next viral version of I’m On A Boat if it wasn’t so much better.

Check it out (after the jump) and let us know what you think…
