Home Alone Header Image

Back in 1990 20th Century Fox released a family friendly comedy titled Home Alone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. The movie had a budget of $18 million, and went on to bring in over $475 million worldwide. At the time, it became the third highest-grossing movie of all time behind only E.T. and Star Wars. It also became a holiday season classic and spawned multiple sequels.

Because of the original’s success it’s no great surprise that Fox would want to re-use that recipe from time to time. What is a little surprising, however, is the news that they’re now dusting off that recipe for an R-rated stoner comedy re-imagining of Home Alone titled, of course, Stoned Alone. On top of that, they have Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds involved as a producer.

A review of Deadpool 2 is an exercise in futility. You already know if you’re going to like it or not, the only real question is “how much?” You know you’ll laugh, again though, “how much?” I don’t want to spoil any of the jokes, quotes, or guest appearances, so what exactly do I write in this review??? I’ll try to answer the above mentioned questions in the most Deadpool way I can: staring at camera, winking… “A f*ck lot” and “Laughed till I peed blood.” Ok… maximum effort!

Deadpool 2 once again stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, the 4th wall-breaking, merc with the mouth who spends his days tracking and brutally slaying an international array of baddies and cracking jokes on Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds’ filmography, and really all superhero movie conventions. This time, however, after an early dose of reality, Wade realizes he may in fact have to accept certain conventions, amongst these, a team-up with the X-Men.

Deadpool and Celine Dion

Last week we saw the unexpected music video for Céline Dion‘s latest tune, “Ashes,” which appears on the official Deadpool 2 motion picture soundtrack.

That video already has over 15 million views on YouTube, and some follow-up goodies have since been release. 20th Century Fox has released a brief behind the scenes video. And if you were thinking “there’s no freakin’ way that’s Ryan Reynolds dancing along to Céline,” you were obviously right (though Reynolds was there) and it’s been revealed who was actually throwing down those moves.

Click on over to the other side to find all of these things, plus another video revealing some Deadpool 2 release dates overseas.

Celine Dion's "Ashes" From Deadpool 2

I…I did not expect to write that headline today. Or any day, for that matter. But yes indeed, an official video has been released for Céline Dion‘s new song “Ashes,” which appears on the Deadpool 2 motion picture soundtrack.

The video features Dion performing the song on a stage, joined by a Deadpool in heels dancing along to the tune. You can check it out below, along with a couple of bonus treats in a new Deadpool 2 IMAX image and a video of Ryan Reynolds in his Deadpool gear interrupting a video that longtime Wolverine Hugh Jackman was trying to record.

Fuck Cancer Deadpool

The tragedy of the first Deadpool was that the merc with a potty mouth and a heart of gold was suffering from a deadly form of cancer. He went to great lengths to cure himself of the disease by going to a shadowy organization who claimed they could cure him. But he found himself looking like the thing he was trying to cure. So he took his outrage on those who made him that way.

But now it is time to give back, and what better way to do that than a fourth wall breaking charity campaign. Ryan Reynolds along with Omaze are running a new campaign to support Fuck Cancer, which offers fans the chance to win a one-of-a-kind PINK Deadpool costume. The launch of this campaign coincides with the release of the upcoming Deadpool 2. Check out the video below.
