Netflix Review: 11-11-1111-11-11: The Prophecy
Netflix Streaming
DVD
Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman
Starring Timothy Gibbs, Michael Landes, Wendy Glenn
Big Air Studios
Originally Released: November 11, 2011

Since I was 23, the time stamp of “4:44” keeps coming up and recurring in my life. I have no idea whether this has any relevance or not, but it’s something I’ve noticed frequently, and as a result I often get attracted to stories surrounding the concept of meanings behind significant numerological synchronicities. 11-11-11: The Prophecy is one such film, and surveys this concept in greater detail than many other stories have.

The concept lends itself very strongly to the horror genre, and comes across brilliantly.

And if movies set on cruises have taught us anything, it’s that the last place you want to be is on a Saw-themed ship. That’s right, in conjunction with Twisted Pictures, Carnival and Rabin Management, the Saw series is hitting the ocean for the ultimate Saw fan experience.

Thanks to Collider for bringing this to our attention. Here’s a few more details about the Saw Fan Experience:

Jigsaw

It feels like just yesterday that we were hearing that Saw 3D would be the final movie in the Saw franchise, and we all collectively laughed and laughed knowing it was about as far from the truth as could be.

See, the plain and simple fact is that as much as people complain about the unoriginality of Hollywood, more people pay their hard-earned coin to see the sequels and remakes and reboots we all despise so much than most anything else.

And so, with that, comes the first wink of an eye hinting toward another Saw movie. It’s not much, but it confirms what we’ve known all along: more sequels or possibly even some kind of reboot can’t be too far off.
