Comic Objects that belong in Warehouse 13Sci Fi Channel’s Warehouse 13 premieres on Tuesday July 7th at 9/8c. Starring CCH Pounder (The Shield), Eddie Mclintock (Bones), Joanne Kelly (Vanished) and Saul Rubinek (Eureka), the show follows a group of government agents assigned to retrieve strange supernatural objects for the U.S. Government. Once obtained, they are housed and safeguarded in a super-secret facility known only as Warehouse 13. According to the Sci Fi Channel, the show is a cross between the X-Files and Moonlighting, two very awesome shows in their own right.

In celebration of this super show, we came up with the Top 13 coolest objects from the comic-verse that would fit perfectly on the vast shelves in Warehouse 13. Get it? Because there’s 13 items and the Warehouse is numbered 13… and it is… uhh… funny… ha..umm..hah….moving along…

Mandarin's RingsThe Ten Rings of the Mandarin – The Mandarin is a badass for oh so many reasons. He is Asian, knows all sorts of martial arts (which means he can kill you with his finger), has rockin’ facial hair, and above all else, he has some seriously dangerous bling on his hands. Once used to fuel an alien starship, The Mandarin’s ten rings do some serious damage. From firing ice beams to literally rearranging matter, these colorful rings are too powerful to be belong to one individual and definitely need to stay in Warehouse 13, if only to protect everyone from its awesome power.

Watch ‘Moonlight’ On SCI FI Friday Nights

I just found out that the vampire drama Moonlight is now running on the SCI FI Channel on Friday nights at 9PM ET/PT (8PM C) right before Battlestar Galactica.

The series ran on CBS before it was prematurely canceled and, as I discovered at last year’s New York Comic-Con, had — and continues to have — a rabid fanbase. While I don’t know anything about whether the series will continue, I did see that SCI FI will run all 16 previously aired episodes.

Jason Dohring, who played Logan on Veronica Mars, stars as Josef Kostan, a 400-year-old vampire who is the friend and mentor to fellow vamp and private eye Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin).

The complete series was released this week on DVD and I had been thinking of picking it up, since the preview I saw at NYCC made me really want to check out the show. So now I’ll get to check it out on the SCI FI Channel and if I love it, I’ll get the DVD.

BSGThank the gods!

The new Season 4 episode of Battlestar Galactica that aired last night — and that I missed because 1) I was flying into Orlando and 2) even though I raced to my hotel with 1 minute to spare before the episode started, it turns out my hotel does not have the SCI FI Channel, drats! — is now online legally and for free for those of us in the United States.

Watch the Episode 4.13, “Sometimes A Great Notion,” right here below!

I’ve had to avoid spoilers since 11pm last night, because from what I understand, the fifth Cylon is finally revealed. I frakking hope so, because we’ve been in suspense for just too damn long.

BSGOh, it’s been too long now since we’ve had any Battlestar Galactica goodness. The Writers Strike forced a break in Season 4, which debuted in April 2008, leaving us waiting til today to begin seeing the second half of the season.

Forget what happened in Season 4.0? Hell, forgot what happened in the show all together? Well, then, check out the “Catch The Frak Up” video the SCI FI Channel put out to help us all get up to speed. You can watch the over 13-minute video right here below.

After you catch up, be sure to check out the 10-part “The Face of the Enemy” Webisode series, which bridges the gap between the break in Season 4. You can watch them all over at Hulu.

Season 4 will be the final one for the series, which will contain several episodes that will run over the standard hour-long time. The series finale will air on March 20, 2009 and its been rumored that it could possibly be up to three hours long.

Battlestar Galactica Season 4, Episode 13 airs tonight at 10PM (9PM C) on the SCI FI Channel.

Video: Sneak Peek At ‘BSG’ Prequel ‘Caprica’

Caprica2A brand new video for the SCI FI channel’s upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica has been released and it is interesting, to say the least.

The clip basically shows Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) being lead through a club and getting a little information out of a young girl. The club seems to be the type where all sexual inhibitions are left at the door, unless you’re there to brawl, which is always welcomed as well.

For those who don’t know, Caprica will be set 50 years before the Galactica that we all know. It tells the story of two families, the Adamas and the Graystones, who are at conflict with one another over the discovery of what eventually becomes the Cylons. The Adamas are lead by Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) — father of BSG‘s Admiral Bill Adama — and the Graystones by Stoltz’s Daniel. You can only imagine which family may have helped set the Cylons on their merry way.

Christmas: ‘Star Trek XI’ Original Release Date

As I gear up for a bumper-to-bumper 2-hour or so ride to my family’s house for Christmas, I’m reminded of how instead of sitting in holiday traffic, I should be at the movies seeing the eleventh Star Trek movie right about now.

See, Christmas Day was the original release date scheduled for Paramount’s Star Trek (then dubbed Star Trek XI) from director JJ Abrams, which was recently moved to May 8, 2009 as the studio now views the highly anticipated film as a summer tentpole.

That’s real great and all, but I had been planning for months to see the movie on Christmas — actually at the Christmas Eve midnight showing to be exact. I had already prepared all familial quadrants for this event. As soon as I said that the new Star Trek movie was to be released on Christmas Day, nearly everyone knew what I was going to say next anyway, since my love of Trek is quite well know. So, Christmas Eve midnight showing (in lieu of church, sorry Grandma), then if the movie was totally awesome, another showing with the nieces and nephews some time on Christmas Day. It wasn’t easy, but I got everyone to except my decision.

Do you know what I had to do to get that happen? This is CHRISTMAS!!!!

Video: ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Season 4 Webisode 1

The SCI FI Channel has premiered the first webisode of Season 4 of their series Battlestar Galatica.

This webisode, “The Face of the Enemy,” begins nine days after the discovery of a devastated Earth, then flashes back three days as the recovering Lt. Felix Gaeta tries to get some rest off the Galactica, but hits an unexpected detour. We also learn something new apparently about the lieutenant in a split-second scene, so don’t blink or you’ll miss it (no seriously, I know people who did).

The debut webisode is the first of a planned 10 webisodes that will bridge the gap between Season 4’s episode 12 and upcoming episode 13. Episode 12 aired seven months ago, then the series went on hiatus; Episode 13 continues the season on January 16, 2009.

Watch the webisode here below.
