Spectre Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx

Back in January we found out that Watchmen, 300, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder was heading back to the zombie apocalypse with a movie titled Army of the Dead. Snyder is no stranger to the walking dead, having directed the Dawn of the Dead remake in 2004.

The first to join the cast of the movie—which will be a zombie heist thriller following a man who, after a zombie outbreak in Vegas, assembles a team to go into a dangerous quarantined area in hopes of scoring a big payday—was Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Endgame, and Spectre star Dave Bautista. And now four more have joined the cast with Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, and Huma Qureshi signing on to star.

Spoilers for Marvel’s Luke Cage Episode 1.1.

We met Marvel’s Luke Cage (Mike Colter) on Jessica Jones which premiered last year on Netflix, and now he’s got his own series, Luke Cage. He is basically indestructible and possesses super strength. He’s haunted by his past and despite the superpowers, he dabbles in low-level work to keep himself out of trouble. Luke Cage is nicknamed “Mr. Bulletproof” by Pop (Frankie Faison), the owner of the local Harlem barbershop where he works one of his two jobs. The other is washing dishes at a Cotton Club-esque nightclub. Not exactly the best use of his abilities, but he’s an ex-con who can barely afford his rent, and grieves for lost love Reva (Parisa Fitz-Henley), so his ambitions are low right now.

Marvel's Luke Cage

Netflix is making one final push to promote the upcoming Luke Cage, which debuts this weekend. The series is the third in Marvel and Netflix’s collaboration that sees Marvel heroes that fight crime in the streets of New York, rather than go on grand adventures like Iron Man or Agent Coulson. And perhaps that is one of the reasons why they have been a huge draw, it is that willingness to take these heroes and ground them and make them just a little bit more relatable. Daredevil and Jessica Jones have been bonafide hits, and based on early reactions, it is safe to say that Luke Cage could be a hit as well.

Check out the final full trailer here below for Luke Cage.
