Preview: IDW’s ‘Star Trek’ Movie Adaptation Miniseries With Deleted Scenes!

Star Trek Movie Adaptation Comic Issue #1IDW Publishing has launched this week their movie adaptation comic book series for JJ AbramsStar Trek.

Issue #1 is on sale now of the six-issue miniseries, which will include exclusive scenes that were not in last year’s summer blockbuster, but were in the original screenplay.

io9 has an exclusive 5-page preview of the first issue, which shows the deleted scenes of Spock’s birth, so definitely head over there and check that out.

Star Trek director Abrams and screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have re-teamed up with writers Mike Johnson and Tim Jones and artist David Messina on the movie adaptation, all of whom previously collaborated on IDW’s Star Trek movie tie-in comic book series Countdown.
