“Party like your job depends on it.”

Directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory, The Switch), Office Christmas Party is like its star, T.J. Miller: loud, obnoxious, occasionally funny, and best when loaded on drugs and alcohol.

When Zenotek CEO Carol Vanstone (Jennifer Aniston) tries to close her hard-partying brother’s branch in Chicago, he (Clay Vanstone, played by Miller) and Chief Technical Officer Josh Parker (Jason Bateman) must rally their co-workers and host an epic non-denominational holiday mixer Christmas party to woo potential client Walter Davis (The People v. O.J. Simpson‘s Courtney B. Vance) and close a sale that will save their jobs.

OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY header

The holiday season is upon us, and that means it’s time to party and celebrate the end of the year. And what kind of celebration would it be without a Christmas party, especially the kind of party that involves drinking, physical humor, and other unsightly vulgarity? Paramount Pictures has released the latest trailer for Josh Gordon & Will Speck‘s Office Christmas Party, starring Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T. J. Miller, Jillian Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Kate McKinnon and Jennifer Aniston. As you might expect with the cast and the title, this will be the kind of office Christmas party that everyone will be talking about, that is, if they’ll be able to recall it after the amount of alcohol they’ve consumed.

Check out the full trailer below.

OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY header

If it is December, chances are you will probably be invited to a Christmas Party to celebrate Yule Tides and Season’s Greetings. Of course, at these parties there’s bound to be some egg nog with a little alcoholic kick to it, which leads to some sort of drunken shenanigans, dumping one’s feelings over the office crush, and a nice hangover the next morning.

Now, a new comedy called Office Christmas Party will explore all those regrettable themes. The film stars Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, T.J. Miller, Kate McKinnon, Courtney B. Vance, and Olivia Munn, and since this is a movie, things get seriously out of hand.

Check out the new trailer below.

Trainwreck Movie Review

Trainwreck
Director: Judd Apatow
Screenwriter: Amy Schumer
Cast: Amy Schumer, Tilda Swinton, Bill Hader, John Cena, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, LeBron James, Dave Attell, Vanessa Bayer
Universal Pictures
Rated R | 124 Minutes
Release date: July 17, 2015

Does Judd Apatow get paid by the minute? Is there any other logical reason – aside from wanton smugness – that his films are chronically overlong? After seeing his latest comedic effort, Trainwreck, I had to consult IMDb to see if the 124-minute film did, in fact, employ an editor.

Turns out Trainwreck had three editors: William Kerr, Peck Prior, Paul Zucker. I’m not sure what this trio was hired to do, however, as it appears nothing was left on the cutting room floor. Like This is 40 and virtually every other Apatow film, Trainwreck is woefully bloated – even if it is wildly funny.

Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) stars as a magazine writer who has made promiscuity her credo. Ever since her adulterous father (Colin Quinn) drilled into her head that monogamy isn’t realistic, Amy has enjoyed a life free of commitment and inhibitions.

Trainwreck

Judd Apatow rarely directs something that he hasn’t written. So for him to helm a romantic comedy written by Comedy Central series star Amy Schumer tells us a lot about the comedian and her skills as a writer.

The first trailers for Trainwreck have finally gone online. In the film, Schumer plays a young journalists who has been told that there is no such thing as monogamy her whole life by her father. Living by that philosophy, she is doing pretty well for herself, that is until her next interview (played by Bill Hader) proves to turn everything she has come to know about commitment upside down.

Hit the jump to see the first trailers for Trainwreck, available in both green and red band (NSFW) versions.
