Sea of Thieves

It’s been a month now since Sea of Thieves launched, and response has been quite mixed. Some enjoy the game for what it is, while others have been disappointed by the final product.

I personally very much enjoy the world developer Rare created, but did hope that some changes and more content were coming to the game to justify the $60 price tag. Now the first details on some of the post-launch content planned for Sea of Thieves have been revealed. You can find out all about them below.

Far Cry 5 Live-Action Film "Inside Eden's Gate"

Ubisoft released Far Cry 5 last week, and things have gone extremely well so far. Not only is it the fastest-selling game in the franchise so far, doubling Far Cry 4‘s sales numbers, but it’s also the second biggest launch for Ubisoft overall, behind only The Division. Based on what we’ve seen of the game, that’s not too surprising.

But that isn’t the only thing Ubisoft has released recently. They also released a live-action short film set in the same world as Far Cry 5, which is titled “Inside Eden’s Gate.” The short runs a lengthy 30 minutes, and you can find it below along with more info on the game.

Sony PlayStation Plus

One of the very best decisions that console makers Microsoft and Sony have made, is to offer free games to those who are members of their Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus programs each month. Hundreds of dollars worth of games for free each year. It makes the pill that is having to pay to play (online) much, much easier to swallow.

The free games being offered to PlayStation Plus members for April 2018 have been revealed, and you can see what they are below.

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves
Xbox One
DEVELOPER: Rare
PUBLISHER: Microsoft Studios
RELEASE DATE: March 20, 2018

If you’ve been at all interested in Sea of Thieves, the new shared world pirate adventure game from developer Rare, chances are you’ve read a review or two for the game since its launch last week to see if it’s worth checking out. I’m here to offer a bit of a different perspective on the game than others.

This is a game meant to be played with friends or even total strangers. You join up with others, and set off pirate adventures together. But I’m not someone who often plays multiplayer and co-op type games, unless it’s quick competitive matches in something like Rocket League. I much prefer single-player games I can get lost in without having to worry about what other players are doing. That said I’ve been intrigued by the look of Sea of Thieves since we first saw it, and since there is an option to play alone I simply couldn’t help but dive in head first and see how a lonely pirate might fare.
