Eddie Murphy Wants A ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV Series Focused On Axel Foley’s Son

With Tower Heist and a gig hosting the Oscars, it appears as though the star of Eddie Murphy is truly back on the rise. And while he may not be starring in this new film, a brand new project based around one of Murphy’s most beloved roles has finally moved forward.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Murphy revealed that he’s attempting to get off the ground a TV series looking at the life of the son of Axel Foley, the character the icon made famous from his turn in the Beverly Hills Cop films.

The last time we checked, the long talked about fourth film in the long-standing franchise had stalled, but this could definitely help change that. I think that, with a fun and exciting introduction back into this universe, a fourth film could really and truly work. If the film has to be made, what better way to do it than by following up a TV series.

What do you think?
