Turns out a lot of good things came out of those faux trailers seen in Grindhouse. Robert Rodriguez has taken his Machete trailer and turned it into a full-fledged feature and is working on its sequel. Now Eli Roth’s faux trailer for Thanksgiving is being turned into a film as well. And the best news is that Thanksgiving could be hitting theaters as early as Fall 2013, the perfect time to release a film like this one.

Here’s what Roth had to say an interview with Behind the Thrills:

It’s exciting to see a director passionate about a project that fans are just as passionate about, and that he will be able to bring a feature that they rightfully deserve. Roth also confirmed that he will use a script that was written by the Clown scribes. A draft is to be turned in soon apparently, so once it gets the go ahead, the casting process can begin, and then production for the film can finally begin. And by November of next year, we could be seeing Thanksgiving on the big screen.

I really hope this means that Edgar Wright is considering working on Don’t soon.
