Rumor For Your Thoughts: New ‘Skyrim’ DLC To Include Morrowind, Dragon Mounts

The Movie God   |

Whispers and wishes of a return to Morrowind as part of DLC content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have been floating around, usually from the mouths of fans of the original Xbox game, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, who wanted to revisit the land with the updated graphics we have today.

Bethesda actually releasing DLC that allowed you to return to Morrowind, however, never seemed likely. But today comes a new rumor with a little bit of substance to it that seems to indicate that the dream is not so far-fetched.

Some sneaky folks have done some digging in the source codes for a recent PC update of Skyrim, and what they found includes entries for locations in Morrowind. In addition to that, they also found what appears to be the ability to ride dragons (something else fans have buzzed about), and new types of armor.

This could all end up just being a misunderstanding, of course, but it could also be the first hints of something fans will surely be very excited about. One thing’s for sure, you can’t deny how the discovered codes read; it’s pretty straightforward, even if you have no idea how to read code.

Here’s the code that was found, plus a couple of links to images of the Morrowind indicators, that were shared on a Bethesda forum:

Looks like there may even be a new kill cinematic at the very bottom that would make the residents of the Temple of Doom very proud.

What are your thoughts on new Skyrim DLC possibly offering a return trip to Morrowind and some dragon riding?
