UPDATE: We’ve added several photos that we took at the Peavey booth during Preview Night to the image gallery below. \m/
Here’s a bit of news that’s right up this guitar-playing geek’s ally.
Peavey Electronics has revealed a new line of licensed instruments and accessories at San Diego Comic-Con, with their sights squarely set on film geeks who also appreciate musical instruments.
Based on the epic sci-fi film that spawned generations of geekdom, Star Wars, this new line will include offerings from their Rockmaster full-sized and three-quarter-sized electric guitars, half-size acoustic guitars, ukuleles, and several accessories.
Check out high-resolution images of their two collector guitars — the Darth Vader Rockmaster and the Luke Skywalker Rockmaster — here after the jump.
Peavey GM Tony Moscal had this to say about the partnership:
“Star Wars is a giant in the world of film, TV and video games, and the same can be said of Peavey in the music industry – so this collaboration just makes sense. I can’t wait for movie fans and musicians to see what we’ve come up with.”
The items will be display this week at Peavey’s Comic-Con booth (2913-P), located in the Star Wars Pavilion, and available for purchase immediately.
I’ll take one Yoda Ukulele, please! … say that three times fast …
I wish that Peavey would release these for purchase already. I’ve been checking Musician’s Friend and Guitar Center for months now after they were shown at NAMM.
