Olympus Syfy Spring 2015 Schedule

Syfy has released the programming highlights from its upcoming Spring 2015 schedule and the line-up leaves no doubt why this channel is a fave among us geeks. Returning this Spring are Bitten for its second season, and the 5th season of Lost Girl in April. We have a new ridiculous original Syfy movie coming out (not Sharknado 3 just yet), Lake Placid vs. Anaconda, with master of horror himself, Robert Englund. There are also two new series debuting: In March, Haunting: Australia, an 8-episode unscripted ghosthunting series which follows some of the best ghost hunters in the world, will try to freak us out, while on April 2nd, the highly anticipated Olympus premieres with 13 godly episodes (or so I hope).

Check out the programming highlights here below for the Syfy Spring 2015 Schedule, which includes descriptions and premiere dates (all times are ET/PT).

In Olympus, the gods are locked in the underworld, thrown there by some really brave or really crazy (depending on your perspective) men and women. The series interweaves man and myth and is ripe with possibilities. This is a unique concept, and Syfy is the perfect vehicle for such a show as this. I’m guessing the gods don’t stay put and will cause trouble for these people. I’m completely speculating, but giddy at the thought of The Chimera, centaurs, Zeus, and cyclops running around.

I know I will be watching. Will you?

SYFY 2015 SPRING PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE

MARCH

HAUNTING: AUSTRALIA
(SERIES PREMIERE)
Premieres Tuesday, March 24 at 10PM – Haunting: Australia is an eight-part unscripted series featuring six of the best ghost hunters in the world. Hailing from all corners of the globe, the Haunting: Australia ghost hunters join forces to investigate paranormal activity in Australia’s most haunted locations, traveling across the country unearthing ghostly evidence. Each of the experts offers a unique talent that strengthens their collective investigating methods. Together they take on terrifying ghosts in haunting and harsh environments that often hold violent histories still lingering in the form of paranormal presence.

Starring Matt Frewer (Max Headroom, Orphan Black), Sonita Henry (Star Trek, The Fifth Element), Cas Anvar (Argo, The Expanse) and Graham Shiels (Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Dark World), the gripping series captures the dangerous courage of a few brave men and women who banished the Gods to the realm of the unconscious – a place they called the Underworld or the Kingdom of Hades.

Based on the Women of the Otherworld novels by #1 New York Times best-selling author Kelley Armstrong, Bitten’s new 10-episode season introduces a coven of witches who turn to the Pack for support. Tammy Isbell plays the calm and level-headed Coven leader, Ruth Winterbourne; Tommie-Amber Pirie is cast as Ruth’s daughter, the outspoken spitfire, Paige Winterbourne; and Kiara Glasco stars as the young and impressionable, Savannah Levine. But in the world of the Fae, nothing is ever as it seems — and the after-life is no exception.
Returning to the cast for Season 5 are stars Kris Holden-Ried as Light Fae shape-shifter Dyson, Zoie Palmer as human doctor Lauren, Rick Howland as Bo’s ancient and secretive grandfather Trick and Rachel Skarsten as Valkyrie warrior Tamsin.
