Shortly after Ryan Reynolds debuted the first footage for Deadpool at Comic-Con, the actor tweeted news that a trailer would be released in three weeks. Based on what we know and the footage that was shown, the reboot will be going for a very hard R, which led to speculation that we would be seeing two trailers for the film: one green band, and one red band.
Now, there is confirmation that we are getting two trailers released next week. Check out the exciting news below.
On Tuesday August 4th, Reynolds will stop by at Conan to debut the red band trailer for Deadpool. Here’s the official description off of the site,
Ryan Reynolds debuts the new redband trailer for “Deadpool.” We’re filling up his dressing room with chimichangas in anticipation.
It’s not completely surprising that we are getting different two trailers for the film. Generally when a red band trailer is released, a green band trailer follows suit. Expect to see the red band trailer online after it airs on television. As to what we will see, that is still unknown. But expect the see the softer green band trailer attached to showings of Fantastic Four, which opens in theaters August 7.
According to Superhero Hype, the red band trailer will run at least 17 seconds longer than the green band trailer. We will have both trailers posted for you as soon as they go online.
Deadpool opens February 12, 2016.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
