Devildriver Band Photo 2016

Now that singer Dez Fafara has wrapped up the reunion record tour with his other band Coal Chamber, his focus is back on Devildriver. The Santa Barbara, CA, band has just released their seventh album, Trust No One, via Napalm Records.

The disc features the debut of new drummer Austin D’Amond (ex-Chimaira), bassist Diego “Ashes” Ibarra (ex-Static X & Wayne Static), and guitarist Neal Tiemann (ex-Burn Halo & Uncle Kracker). Despite the major lineup change, Devildriver continue to be one of the most unrelentingly heavy bands in metal. Trust No One is the band’s strongest effort in several years. I highly recommend checking out the entire album, as well as Devildriver’s excellent back catalog. Here’s my selection for this week’s edition of MMM to get you started. This is the official video for the first single from Trust No One. The track is titled “Daybreak.” Check it out!
