After taking a break for a few weeks with the Honest Trailers, I am back and right on time, as Screen Junkies just released one of The CW’s The Flash the afternoon before the Season 3 premiere. The Flash is part of DC’s TV universe along with Supergirl, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and tonight starts the ultra popular “Flashpoint” story arc, where Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) traveled back in time to save his mother, and inadvertently altered the timeline so that he is NOT The Flash. So strap in as the Screen Junkies prep you for season 3 with an HT recap of the first two seasons.
Check out the Honest Trailer below.
Join narrator Jon Bailey as we watch the CW network try desperately to attract a male audience, after years of whiny teenage soap operas. And when Arrow got way too serious, and way too into flashbacks, check out The Flash, a shockingly funny, truly emotional, and awesomely kickass superhero soap opera. Watch an incredibly attractive young cast from hero, Barry Allen, to literally everyone around him, including super geek/nerd/scientist/inventor Cisco (Carlos Valdes),and super geek/nerd/scientist/inventor/chemist/doctor Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) who won’t let you forget her fiance died. If that’s not young and attractive enough, check out every one-off season 1 villain!
Season 2 explores alternate universes, timelines, and doppelgängers, while taking you deeper into STAR Labs, a facility “so advanced it can create whatever the plot requires.” But for a good-guy home base, there seem to be a lot of constitutional infringements on the rights of the villains… didn’t anyone ever hear of the 6th – 8th amendments? But goddammit, those finales are so gut wrenching!
Starring: Air Guns, Recycled Running (that’s some Superman 4 level crap right there), Daddy Issues, and Barry’s Bobblehead… new title: Dawson’s Streak. Screen Junkies have almost 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube and release new Honest Trailers every Tuesday. Check out Screen Junkies Plus for a new weekly show where they break down all the action on the DC TV universe.
