New Video Shows The Easter Eggs That Connect Pixar’s Movies
The Movie God   |  @   |

Pixar Easter Eggs Up

One of the many things Pixar is known for, is including Easter Eggs in their movies that connect said movies to other movies they’ve made. They do it so often, in fact, that a popular fan theory is that every movie they make is set in the same world.

A new video has been released which supports this theory in a lot of ways, showcasing a bunch of these Easter Egg connections. From humans to toys, bugs to cars, monsters to machines, the connections find their way to them all.

Continue below to give the video a watch.

‘Rick and Morty’ Intro Re-Created In 8-Bit (Video)
The Movie God   |  @   |

8-Bit Rick and Morty

There was a time where pretty much every movie or TV show you could think of was getting the 8-bit treatment. You can see a handful of them right here. But they don’t seem to pop up quite as often as they used to these days.

One that has been released this week is a re-creation of the Rick and Morty intro. It’s short, but still fun to watch if you’re a fan of the animated show. It also makes me want a Rick and Morty side-scroller game, which is usually the case after watching videos like this.

Click on over to the other side to check it out.

‘Cars 3’ Extended Look Trailer Released
The Movie God   |  @   |

Pixar's Cars 3

The first teaser trailer for Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 was released back in November, and it was just a little bit depressing, especially if you’re a fan of the series and Lightning McQueen.

Now an extended look version of that trailer has been released. It starts off with the same depressing sequence we saw in the teaser, and is followed by about 40 seconds of new footage that we haven’t seen before.

You can check out the new trailer below, along with some recently released character videos for Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo), and Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer).

‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season 3 Mid-Season Trailer Reveals Long-Awaited Rematch
eelyajekiM   |  @   |

Star Wars Rebels season 3 header

It’s pretty clear when Star Wars Rebels and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story takes place, but even though we knew what was going to happen in the latter, no one could have ever expected it to play out the way it did. So how Rebels will eventually tie together with Rogue One is unclear. One thing is for sure, we will be seeing Rogue One cameos in Rebels just as we saw Rebels cameos in Rogue One.

Until that time happens, we’ll just have to wait for season 3’s story to conclude. With the way things ended during the winter finale, fans are anxious to see what happens to Ezra and the rest of the Ghost crew. And Disney has released a new trailer giving us a look at what is to come. Check it out below.

Geek Peek: ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 (Video)
The Movie God   |  @   |

Mr. Poopybutthole Rick and Morty

The first season of the brilliant animated comedy Rick and Morty ended in April of 2014, with season two kicking off a little over a year later in July of 2015. If you thought season three of the show would arrive much faster than season two did given the show’s wildfire popularity, you clearly didn’t listen to Mr. Poopybutthole. At the end of the tremendous season two finale, Mr. Poopybutthole said it would be a year and a half…or longer…before a new season arrived. And that’s looking more and more likely. Season two came to a close in October of 2015, leaving us just a few months short of Mr. Poopybutthole’s estimation with no official premiere date announced yet. The point of all of this is: we should all take our friend Mr. Poopybutthole more seriously.

If you’ve never seen an episode of Rick and Morty before, you are no doubt immensely confused at this moment. But that’s OK! While we await word on when season three will be kicking off, a semi-peek at the new season has surfaced. It’s not much, and it’s not even completed footage, but it is something to hold us over. You can check it out below.

‘Rogue One’s Saw Gerrera To Appear In ‘Star Wars Rebels’
eelyajekiM   |  @   |

Forest Whitaker in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Eagle-eyed Star Wars Rebels fans were able to point out some of the cameos that were made in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. From The Ghost, the show’s flagship transporter, to Chopper, the crew’s droid with an attitude, it was fun to see that even the animated show characters get a little nod. Now it looks like one of them will be paying a visit to the animated show. Rumors started to swirl that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) could appear in a sequel or another Star Wars film. It’s unlikely that Jyn would make an appearance unless the writers have something else up their sleeve, but one character that is confirmed to appear is one we’ve already seen in the Clone Wars animated series.

According to a trailer, Saw Gerrera will be back for an upcoming episode of Star Wars Rebels, and he will be voiced by none other than Forest Whitaker. Check out more on the story below.

‘The Emoji Movie’ Trailer: The Not So Subtle ‘Inside Out’ Imitation
eelyajekiM   |  @   |

Emoji Movie trailer header

It’s amazing how well thought out Inside Out actually is when you discover that the emotions aren’t as basic as they are. There’s some depth to them. So when it was announced that Sony was coming up with an emoji movie and said that it was a cross between Inside Out and Wreck-It Ralph, there was some relative interest in seeing how it might turn out.

But whatever interest I might have had in the film, died out with this new trailer that lives up to the first character that tries to hype the film that ironically uses the emoji that is in direct opposition of excitement. Basically, it’s just meh. Check out the first trailer for The Emoji Movie (formally titled Emojimovie: Express Yourself) below.
