Must Watch: Sony Shows Off How Much Easier Sharing PlayStation 4 Games Is Than On Xbox One

The Movie God   |

PlayStation 4 Logo

Sony has released a brief video after laying the smacketh down on Microsoft at E3.

The video offers instructions on how to lend or borrow PlayStation 4 games with your friends and family, as compared with Microsoft’s plan to latch games to your profile, only let you give them to to someone permanently one time, and not lend or borrow them at launch.

You can check out Sony’s guide for used game sharing below now! [...]

Ethan Hawke & Julie Deply Have A Message For People Who Text During A Film

eelyajekiM   |

Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply Have A Message For You

Common movie theater etiquette says that texting or talking during a film is highly frowned upon. But ever since the Alamo DraftHouse released the PSA of a disgruntled customer being kicked out for that very action, actors and directors have come out and participated in making these “Stop Texting” PSAs. Lots of them have already gone viral, and now a new PSA from Before Midnight stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply could go viral as well.

If you thought these two had chemistry for all three films, you should check out the chemistry they have for this simple, yet hilariously effective PSA from Alamo Drafthouse. And just for good measure, Deply cusses texters and talkers out in French. Don’t worry there are subtitles. Hit the jump to see the video [...]

Disney In Depth: 50 Signs You’re A Disney Geek

Brett Nachman   |

Disney In Depth banner

In honor of the fiftieth edition of Disney In Depth – can you believe it? – I thought I would devote this edition to diagnosing you with “Disneyitis.” What is this condition? Well, it is when any of these 50 signs representing a Disney geek apply to you.

Continue below now to find out if you’re a true Disney fanatic.

1. You have more pairs of Mouse Ears in your closet than you do baseball caps (and you occasionally wear the ears when nobody’s around).

2. When giving someone directions, you use the Disney two-finger point (because you’re an unabashed Disney nerd). [...]

Watch Now: Animated Version Of Patton Oswalt’s ‘Star Wars’ Filibuster

The Movie God   |

Patton Oswalt Star Wars Filibuster

Last month a clip from the hit show Parks and Recreation was released, in which Patton Oswalt attempts a filibuster to prevent a city council vote. Producers of the show told the actor to ramble on about something, and so Oswalt decided to ad-lib his way through his character’s vision for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII.

Naturally the video became quite popular on the ‘net, opening the door for different takes and variations. Which brings us to today and a new video, which turns Oswalt’s speech into an semi-animated version showing what some of his ideas might look like.

You can check out the animated version of Oswalt’s Star Wars filibuster below now! [...]

Must Watch: J.J. Abrams Takes Fan Suggestions For ‘Star Wars Episode 7′

The Movie God   |

J.J. Abrams Star Trek

Recently we saw a very funny video of Harrison Ford on Jimmy Kimmel Live in which he answered a few Star Wars related questions while there to promote 42. Now J.J. Abrams has visited the talk show to promote his latest blockbuster, Star Trek Into Darkness.

Of course Kimmel couldn’t have Abrams on the show without bringing up the director’s next gig, Star Wars Episode VII. Abrams couldn’t say much as they’re still in the very early stages of that movie, so Kimmel turned it over to the fans—and perhaps a surprise visitor or two—for some of their suggestions on how to make Episode VII the best one yet. And again, the results are quite hilarious.

Video: Arnold Schwarzenegger Promotes First Ever YouTube Comedy Week

The Movie God   |

Arnold Schwarzenegger for YouTube Comedy Week

Starting very soon is the first ever YouTube Comedy Week, which, for those of you who feel shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom are “intelligent” and “well crafted,” means there’s going to be a week on YouTube dedicated to giggle making.

The week will feature an interesting mixture of both comedians and comedic actors, as well as some of the internet’s funniest figures, and will include live events, video premieres, and collaborations. The list of contributors includes Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman, Rainn Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Michael Cera, Craig Robinson, Jeff Ross, The Lonely Island, and internet favorites like Epic Meal Time, Epic Rap Battles, and College Humor.

To help promote the event, none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger filmed a humorous promo for YouTube Comedy Week, which you can watch below along with another promo.

Adult Swim Announces New Tim & Eric Pilot, ‘Mike Tyson Mysteries,’ And More

BAADASSSSS!   |

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim

Cartoon Network’s late night Adult Swim line-up is one of the precious few reasons I still bother having a cable box in my home these days. Within their nightly live-action and animated programming block can be found some of the funniest and imaginative writing and performances to ever be seen on television, along with reruns of Family Guy and American Dad.

The network shrewdly combines more accessible fare like Robot Chicken, Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV with boldly bizarre, short-lived experiments (they really should bring back The Heart, She Holler) to maintain their healthy fanbase and serve as a wonderland of creative freedom. They show no signs of letting up any time soon, and in fact Cartoon Network just released a list of new shows and pilots they have in development for Adult Swim in the coming year.

You can check out the full list here below [...]

May The Fourth Be With You – Happy Star Wars Day!

cGt2099   |

May The 4th Be With You! Happy Star Wars Day!

From the personal journal of Darth Vader:

I’m sitting here in Dexter’s Diner drinking some blue milk, though not very effectively as the straw doesn’t squeeze too well through the ventilator holes in my mask. It’s relatively quiet in here today. I don’t mean quiet as in nobody’s here; no they’re all just staring at me.

This happens frequently among the people on Coruscant when they haven’t seen a lightsaber used in some time. Or maybe it’s because they fear me so much that they have the poodoo scared out of them.

They’re all staring at me uncertainly. I’m absolutely sure this will get back to my master, The Emperor. He’s going to be angered at my conduct here today.

You think he’d thank me though. It’s not every day you get to behead Jar Jar Binks with a lightsaber.

Perhaps he might be more amused if I prepare something for him [...]

Make This Happen! ‘LEGO Breaking Bad’ The Video Game

The Movie God   |

LEGO Breaking Bad Image

Whether it was playing a full game, a demo, or maybe just watching a video, most of you are likely aware of the LEGO video game series, which fuses together worlds like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter with LEGO building block toys and figures.

Today brings with it a brand new LEGO video game, which is not at all real, but should be…and never will be. The game is LEGO Breaking Bad, and, as anyone who’s familiar with the games or the hit AMC series will tell you, it looks awesome.

Be sure to head on below now to watch a video of the nonexistent game in action! But be warned, it does contain spoilers from the first few seasons of the show. [...]

Video: The Empire Responds To Popular ‘Star Wars’ Holiday May The 4th

The Movie God   |

Star Wars May the 4th

In just a few days, it will be May the 4th. The day is a popular holiday for fans of the Star Wars universe which is fittingly known as Star Wars Day because, well…May the 4th be with you. Get it? Great! Moving on.

As it turns out, the Empire is none too thrilled with the celebration of such unspeakable things as Jedi and rebels and the Force. And so they’re dipping their corrupt toes into the propaganda pool in hopes of dissuading people from continuing to celebrate. Something tells me the Jedi and rebels and muggles (wait, where are we?) will only party harder this year.

Click on over to the dark side to check out the video. [...]

Must Watch: Harrison Ford Won’t Answer Any ‘Star Wars’ Questions … ESPECIALLY From Chewbacca

The Movie God   |

Han Solo and Chewbacca Image

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Harrison Ford was a guest to promote his new movie, the Jackie Robinson biopic 42.

Ford agreed to answer some questions from the audience, so long as those questions didn’t have anything to do with Star Wars, a topic he’s been swarmed about ever since word surfaced that he could be reprising his role as Han Solo for the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars Episode VII.

The results, as you might have guessed, are pretty hilarious…especially when his old friend Chewbacca gets involved. Continue below now to watch the video. [...]

Watch Now: Creepy Girl From ‘The Ring’ Throws Out First Pitch At Baseball Game

The Movie God   |

Samara in The Ring

We you aware that they were still making movies about that little creepy chick from The Ring, which was a remake of the Japanese horror flick Ringu? Neither did we!

As it turns out, a new movie about everyone’s favorite adorable little well-dweller, named Sadako in Japan (Samara here in the States), was released in May of 2012 titled Sadako 3D. Whether the movie is good or bad is of no consequence, but what is worth a peek is some of the promotions that were run to market the movie.

One of the promotions was for Sadako to come out before a baseball game and throw out the first pitch, which is…well, it’s something to see. Marketing a horror movie using comical techniques is a bit unorthodox, but hey, why not?

Continue below now to see the first pitch, as well as a trailer for the movie. [...]

Must Watch: Live-Action ‘Dishonored’ Short Shows One Way To Play The Game

The Movie God   |

Dishonored Image

A humorous new video has been released called How I Played Dishonored.

The video comes from YouTube user timtimfed, and is a live-action short video set in the world of Dishonored, the hit video game from publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios. The game is popular for a number of reasons, one of which being the different ways you can choose to play and how those ways alter the story.

Continue below to see one of the ways to play (perhaps not the recommended way, but a way), though it’s probably better not to watch if you’ve not yet played the game and plan to. [...]

Must Watch: Huey Lewis Spoofs ‘American Psycho’ With Weird Al Yankovic

The Movie God   |

Huey Lewis American Psycho Spoof

Arguably the most memorable scene in the psychological thriller American Psycho was when star Christian Bale’s Patrick Bateman character gives a co-worker (played by Jared Leto) a little lesson on the band Huey Lewis and the News…right before butchering him with an axe (maybe, we think). Gruesome I know.

Now, thanks to Funny or Die, a video has come along to blow minds. Layers of parody dancing gleefully together around a slice of paradoxical cinema. Does that make sense? Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to. Because it sounds awesome.

Be sure to check it out below. [...]

King Tut Learns You Can’t Take It With You, Signs On For ‘Mummy’ Reboot

Waerloga69   |

The Mummy

Looking to bring some authenticity to the planned reboot of The Mummy franchise, director Len Wiseman and Universal Pictures have snagged Tutankhamun, the 18th dynasty Egyptian pharaoh, to star in the new film.

Best known as King Tut, the once-popular pharaoh is reportedly hellbent on making a comeback, as interest in Tut and his many possessions have waned a lot since his tomb was discovered back in 1922. To help make his leap to the silver screen, Tutankhamun is being rep’d by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, who hope their client’s involvement in the Universal Pictures sequel will promote tourism and raise Egyptology back from the dead [...]
