In April 2006, co-publishers Empress Eve and Dave3 launched Geeks of Doom with the goal of bringing geeky entertainment news and features to the masses and to create a haven where the independent geek could voice his/her opinion.
GoD has the inside skinny on the latest geek-related news, comic book, movie, video game, and music reviews, as well as interviews with industry geeks, contests, and giveaways, and articles about everything else that shines under our geeky sun.
We write about what we love! We ARE the comic readers, we are the movie goers, we are the target market. We’re able to write from the perspective of the average unbiased fan, because we ARE those fans.
GoD is independently owned and operated by Empress Eve and Dave3, both of whom have full-time day jobs and a mortgage to pay.

About: Introduced to Kiss live in concert, Batman comics and the original Star Wars all in the same month in 1977, my inner geek reared it’s ugly head and I was never the same again. My first job was in a comic, gaming and book store, solidifying my need for all things nerdy. Hundreds of AD&D campaigns and thousands of fantasy books later, I am able to hold my own in almost any geeky convo. About: Raised in Brooklyn, NY, a most colorful place, I’ve always been an ardent observer of humans and their peculiar behavior. I marvel at the language they use to amuse, disparage, delight and malign each other. I will read anything in front of me, from toothpaste tubes to ginormous ancient tomes. I am a slave to the written word, whether I’m reading human stories or writing reports to send back to my home planet (I’d tell you which one, but then I’d have to break out the death ray, which is messy). My tastes run the gamut from low-brow to high concept. In between reading and writing, I enjoy picking up my bass guitars. I don’t really play, I just like to plug in and hold them. About: Growing up, Michael Carroll was on route to becoming a normal, healthy, contributing member of society when a passing interest in ‘Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends’ mixed with an unsupervised upbringing, led to Alan Moore and Robert Crumb, like petty shop lifting leads to homicide.
