BAADASSSSS!   |

Kickstarter Spotlight: Kung Fury

Kickstarter is a wonderful place where the truly innovative creators of our generation have the potential to financially make their wildest dreams come true whilst retaining their freedom and integrity. Sometimes the rich and powerful will use it in the service of evil, but every so often a particular project comes along that is too good to not become a reality. You can watch a trailer and funding pitch video here below.

Laser Unicorns and writer/director David Sandberg have set out to create the most outrageous and exciting work of gloriously excessive 1980’s action hero fan filmmaking known to civilized human beings. Kung Fury is not just a movie title; it’s also the name of its hero (played by Sandberg), a loose cannon Miami cop whose wardrobe consists of mostly leather and a bandanna and can kick an healthy assortment of ass without breaking a sweat. Robots, mutants, dinosaurs, lots of martial arts combat, cheeseball 80’s music, a trip to 1940’s Germany, and much more can be counted on to appear in mass quantities.
