‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Announced By Telltale Games
The Movie God   |  @   |

Telltale's The Walking Dead - Clementine

Telltale Games made a few big announcements this week, the biggest (for me anyway) being the long-awaited new season of The Wolf Among Us. But they had something for fans of The Walking Dead, as well.

The news regarding their fan-favorite take on Robert Kirkman’s hit comic book series comes in both good and bad flavors, unfortunately. The good news is that we won’t have to wait a while to find out if a new season of the point-and-click series is on the way, as we did for the recently concluded third season, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Telltale has confirmed that a season four is officially on the way for 2018. The bad news however, is that this new season will also be the final season.

Continue below to check out the video announcing the final season.

Telltale Games Announces ‘The Wolf Among Us’ Season 2
The Movie God   |  @   |

Telltale's The Wolf Among Us

Telltale Games has made many of their fans happy today, finally announcing The Wolf Among Us season two.

The game is based on Bill Willingham’s incredible comic series Fables. And while the first season was not the most successful financial endeavor for Telltale, it was without doubt one of their very best—right up there with the acclaimed first season of The Walking Dead, which came out about a year before. But when it comes down to it, sales matter. So while two more seasons and some DLC for The Walking Dead have since been released, it looked like we may never get a second season of The Wolf Among Us.

The announcement was made with a video, which begins with voice actors and Telltale employees reading mean tweets from impatient fans demanding a new season. You can check it out below.

PlayStation Plus Free Games Lineup For July 2017
The Movie God   |  @   |

Sony PlayStation Plus

One of the very best decisions that console makers Microsoft and Sony have made, is to offer free games to those who are members of their Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus programs each month. Hundreds of dollars worth of games for free each year. It makes the pill that is having to pay to play (online) much, much easier to swallow.

The free games being offered to PlayStation Plus members for July 2017 have been revealed, and you can see what they are below.

‘Beyond Good and Evil 2’ : First Peek At Gameplay and More (Videos)
The Movie God   |  @   |

Beyond Good and Evil 2 Gameplay

Perhaps the best moment of E3 2017 came after the reveal of the latest trailer for the long-awaited sequel Beyond Good and Evil 2—which was itself one of the best things we saw out of this year’s E3 convention.

After the trailer was shown Michel Ancel, the creator and director of the incredible 2004 original (as well as the creator of the Rayman series), walked out to the stage accompanied by narrative director Gabrielle Shrager. Ancel has been fighting to make this game for so long (over a decade now—parts of it have been built in the past, we’ve seen trailers for it before, but it has struggled to find life), and once the new trailer had been debuted and he came out to the applauding crowd, emotions overtook him. You could see quite clearly how much it all meant to him.

Since that time, more goodies related to the game have been released, including our first peek at early gameplay and more info from those hard at work on building it. You can see the video of Ancel’s emotional appearance as well as the gameplay video and more below.

‘Hitman’: Play Game’s First Location For Free Right Now
The Movie God   |  @   |

IO-Interactive's Hitman

The Hitman video game franchise been up in the air in recent weeks, making longtime fans of the series very nervous. Square Enix, who published the last two main games in the series, 2012’s Hitman: Absolution and last year’s episodic release simply titled Hitman, and also developed mobile games for the series such as Hitman GO and Hitman: Sniper, decided that they were going to part ways with the creator and developer of the games, IO-Interactive.

Square Enix attempted to sell IO-Interactive, but instead IO was able to buy themselves back, making them an independent developer once again. We still don’t know exactly what the future holds for the Hitman franchise. But to kick off their return to independence, IO has decided to make the first location in their episodic game available to play for free.

You can read more about it and watch a video below.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

A new trailer and an 11-minute gameplay demo for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the sequel to The Stick of Truth, were released this week. The game was announced at the E3 event two years ago.

In the first game the kids were playing Lord of the Rings-style fantasy, and as we’ve seen in previously released trailers and videos for The Fractured But Whole, they’ve jumped over to playing superhero franchises.

E3 2017: Trippy Trailer For ‘Transference’ From Elijah Wood’s SpectreVision
The Movie God   |  @   |

Elijah Wood's Transference

Another game announced during E3 2017 this week looks like one that will mess with the ol’ brain a bit. The game is titled Transference, and it comes from Elijah Wood and his production company SpectreVision in collaboration with Ubisoft. It also features Macon Blair, who starred in Blue Ruin and Green Room, and recently directed Wood in the Netflix movie I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.

Transference is a virtual reality experience, but will also be playable on traditional platforms as well. You can read more about it and watch the announcement trailer as well as a second video about the game below.

E3 2017: ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ VR Trailer
The Movie God   |  @   |

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Trailer

During Bethesda’s E3 2017 showcase, they shared trailers for a pair of upcoming virtual reality titles, Fallout 4 VR and DOOM VFR. Some were hoping that this meant we might also see a VR experience for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as well, but nothing was said about it at the time.

As it turned out, the trailer for a Skyrim VR experience was simply being saved for a little bit later. It was shown during Sony’s PlayStation presentation earlier this week, because the game is being released on PlayStation VR. Continue below to read more about the game and to check out the trailer if you haven’t seen it.
