It appears that some crafty gamer found this massive gem of an easter egg on the new PS3 version of BioShock — the very first teaser for the highly-anticipated sequel, BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams.
It’s not a great quality clip — which you can view here below — and I assume this means that a nice and pretty version will be released soon enough, but for you overly-anxious fans like me, it’s more than enough right now.
The trailer basically starts showing a kind of Big Daddy doll with a sunset and the ocean in the background. It pans back to reveal a young girl holding the doll right before panning all the way back while big rocks, or buildings shoot up and form all around. Then comes the title screen — which works perfectly fine — followed by a long, long pause before the big reveal of the not-so-exciting sub-title: Sea of Dreams.
The most interesting thing here is that the girl is much older than the Little Sisters that we know and fear. This likely means that we have a sequel going on; an interesting move considering most thought it would be a prequel this time around and then a sequel for the third game, which is hoping to come out around the same time as the movie being directed by Gore Verbinski. This disappoints me as a fan because I was giddy at the thought of walking around a fully-working, happy, inhabited and sane Rapture before everything went to Hell’s Hell. That’s not likely to happen due to the lack of horrifying things to shoot in happy Rapture — but who knows, I can always hope for a visit at the beginning or a flashback before the scary shit beats up the fan.
Enjoy the video (while you can — before it gets pulled!) and stay tuned for a whole lot more on this one!

Very enticing. I’m playing through the first one right now and can’t get enough! Glad to know there’ll be a sequel waiting for me in the near future.
